There is still some issues with vehicles and the opening scene, that will be updated hopefully by Tuesday. You cannot see players gestures but you have full VR motion controls.

For the Seamoth: build one for each player and do not mix them up, if you get into another vehicle a player has built, you cannot exit. Also the player body gets left behind but it is cosmetic, exiting the vehicle updates the position.

The opening scene causes a hang to happen leaving the player within the scene, either wait for it to play out then exit and rejoin, or enable “skip cinematics” in the Nitrox server settings.

Other than those two the whole dang thing can be played with friends.

I'm gonna wait for Subnautica 2 to become sale. Right now, I want to play with someone on Subnautica 1 using the Nitrox Mod.

The problem is though, I followed the instruction, and yet my partner and I couldn't make it work. I'm hoping someone in this community could check out what we're doing wrong or what we're missing.

i downloaded it so me and my friend could play toegther, yet he thinks its a virus and idk how to dissproove him except asking here.

Today my friend and I spent over an hour trying to connect to each other, but all we got was “Unable to join”. We tried basically everything:

launching Nitrox as administrator using the correct IP from the server console

checking ports/firewall

trying both the default port and a custom one

We also tried Discord invites because Nitrox says it supports them. My friend sends a join request, and as the host I get a message saying something like:

“Press ALT+<M to unlock”

But nothing happens no matter what I press. We tried different keyboard layouts, Alt combinations, mouse buttons, etc.

We even tried using console commands, but couldn’t find any command to accept invites.

Both of us are on the same Nitrox version.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is Discord invite integration broken or are we missing something?

So my friends and I just installed Nitrox; it runs fine, but for one of my friends, once he presses play to launch the game, it immediately crashes. He has made it to the main menu, and when he tries to join us, his game crashes. Any fix, or someone with the same issue?

I really wanna play the Return of the Ancients mod to see the Gargantuan Leviathan with my sister but Nitrox doesnt offically support mods I tought maybe installing for both of us the mod iill work, I didn't have the time to do it yet but will it work also I have some questions:

1. Will it work if I download it for both of us?

2. Will there be any errors?

3. We already have a server not too much progress the last thing what happened is Aurora blew up can we continue on it or we should start a new one?

For those who played this mod or any mod with nitrox I would be thankful if you could answer for these question and help.

me and a friend just started playing this mod but the creatures dont follow you to attack you, it feels like its on peaceful mode and when you die we dont lose any items. Is this normal?

I really enjoy the game so far, but I think the survival experience could feel more intense and immersive with a few changes.

One feature that would be awesome is allowing larger sea creatures to physically grab or clamp down on the player. Instead of only taking a quick hit, the creature could hold you for a few seconds and deal damage over time unless you fight back or use a tool to escape. It would make encounters feel more dangerous and memorable.

It would also be cool if players could neutralize or defeat some of these large creatures and harvest resources or food from them afterward. That could add more survival gameplay and give players meaningful rewards for risky encounters.

Another thing is that the current damage system feels a little too forgiving. Right now it sometimes feels like you can just stand there and tank hits without much danger. Increasing creature damage slightly, especially from larger predators, could make exploration more tense and challenging in a good way.

Overall, I think making predators more threatening and interactive would improve the survival horror atmosphere and make ocean exploration feel more exciting.

Help, I want to play with a friend. Everything was fine yesterday, but today he can't log in because of an error. He can't connect to the server. We play via radmin. The server is running on my computer. What should I do?

Looking for a reliable hosting provider for a multiplayer survival server for a small group. Any recommendations with good performance, stability, and easy setup?

I tried launching the Subnautica mod Nitrox today, and it seems not to be launching. I was going to go to their Discord server to see what's up, and I cannot find their server anymore... All links appear to be expired, and no one seems to be chatting about it...

After further investigation as to why my game won't launch, I found the game tries to run a discord_game_sdk.dll. I'm not sure what this does exactly. However, I assume it is used to connect and communicate with their Discord server. Since the Discord server is gone, it isn't able to locate it, and it silently fails, just giving an unrecognizable error.

I was able to solve this issue. I'm not sure why it worked, but it did...

go to: C:\Nitrox_1.8.1.0_win_x64\lib\net472\discord_game_sdk.dll

or wherever you have the nitrox folder, and rename that file.

I renamed it to: discord_game_sdk.dll.disabled

So just add .disabled at the end, and it will stop trying to connect to Discord.

I have no Idea if this breaks anything else, but at least you'll be able to launch the game and still connect to your server...

Hello, I'm having problem connecting with my friend server. As of now my other friends can join with no problems. We are using Hamachi. I keep getting this error every time I join. I have a feeling is because I'm from EU and there at Asia. Maybe is due to connection error.
