I was so scared. I don’t know how long it would’ve taken if I had died at the end there. I should have died so many times.😭
There's an official art that's poster-style, it looks like this with Mario upside down and the sunrise on the horizon. It's up-and-down instead of sideways (like in this picture), and it's kind of got a quieter vibe to it. I'm moving into college soon and want to find myself a high-quality version of it. Does anyone know where I should be looking? Thank you!
Green stars are such a fun concept. and the last level had me busting my balls.
My experience with Mario Galaxy is intresting. I grew up playing Mario Galaxy from the age of 8 and I only ever getting to two final levels by the age of 10-12, I never was able to beat Luigis purple coin(Toy galaxy). When I beat it felt surreal. I had to stop playing for years because my wii controllers didn't work with nunchucks at ALL. It really sucked considering I would speed through the game for fun and try to beat it in one day with one completion, I just new there was more than one crown possible from seeing a cousin's save file of the game.
I finally beat it and at the time of typing this the credits are rolling not sure what to expect though.
WE CAN PLAY AS LUIGI!?
Got a new Wii how long would you say getting 242 would take a second take and maybe any tips to make the second playthrough harder
Yeah I knew someone mentioned it already so it's a repetitive topic, but anyway....
So overall, if we don't count Comet Observatory as a planet, it would leave just four planets for us to visit in movie adaption. We had:
1, Gateway Galaxy + Minus World: while most of the part is original, I think it works in adpation and properly explain that space travel is a common thing and Mario series already got many aliens. Could argue 8-bits were not from Galaxy but most fans would give them a pass.
2, Honeyhive Kingdom: it is the closest to the game we had in the movie, my only critique is wish we had stay longer in the vist of the kingdom, get to interact with the bees and actually use Bee powerup.
3, Fossil Falls: didn't exist in Galaxy but just used to push Yoshi's Island + Odyssey references, which feels not fitting too much. We know Nintendo did it because they pushed Galaxy to be second movie adaption. and couldn't give more time to Yoshi's Island in its own movie, but ultimately it's their own issue. Also, the whole planet is a filler but it took way too long time. I think they should had cut off half time and insert one more planet instead.
4, Jr's planet: it's overall a cool battlefield. Main critique could be it took abit too much SMB references rather than Galaxy's own themes, as I mentioned in an earlier post.
=======
As for the unused one in games, I also say not all of them fit in storytelling or movie adaption, so they don't need to all appear. But I think some of them could had made it:
1, Loopdeeloop Galaxy: this is the other planet that had several main NPCs of the game. including Ray, Guppy and penguins. I think waterslide contest would do an interesting insertion of the plot and yet it design is still very iconic. That could also bring back King Penguin whose story from the first movie hasn't finished.
2, Boss Blitz Galaxy: I think we should face some danger in outerspace-- yes we had Wart, but we could have more, especially the actual bosses from real Galaxy games.
Imagine you are given a number of attempts to beat The Perfect Run (SMG2 final level). This number is of your own choosing.
Successfully beating the level within the chosen number of attempts earns you a cash prize. Failure to do so results in death (or lifelong imprisonment).
You choose your number of attempts before your first attempt. After this, the number cannot be changed. The cash prize starts at $1 billion USD for choosing 1 attempt and succeeding, and is halved by each additional attempt you chose to give yourself.
You must start playing the level immediately, with no warmup.
How many attempts would you choose to give yourself?
For reference, this chart says what your cash prize would be if you choose to have n attempts (n from 1 to 30).

SMB3 Retro Mix of Gusty Garden Galaxy created by me
I was playing the Purple Comet in Dreadnought's* Galaxy and saw this second launch star, does someone know it's purpose? It just sends you to the end but without that last coin and it's not like you could unintentionally get to it.
I wanna know why you guys love it.
I low-key don't like the game, not because of the game overall, but how I feel dizzy going upside down 😭.
