How do you score A or A+?
So far, my highest grade has been an A-, but I really want to challenge myself to get an A or A+ before I graduate. To those who have managed to score an A or A+, could you share some tips on how you did it?

Hi! I’m in a full time course and just finished my Y1 - S1 & S2. SGPA and CGPA is both 4.17.
Took 6 mods in my latest sem Y1S2 and got:
4 B+
2 A-
2 of my NCOs are B+
In my previous sem i alr P/Fed one NCO.
Anyone has advice if i should P/F these 2 NCOs? Since there’s a higher quota for core mods.
TIA!
Hello I'm a year 1 accounting student that just finish sem 2... Yup got a C+ in one of the major mods shld I use the p/f chance? Pulls me up from a 3.89 to 4. Yea just contemplating bc got other mods that are harder and idk if it is rlly worth?

hi! i will be matriculating into the FT Psych programme at SUSS this august. i was thinking about how i could effectively utilise the 60cu separate from my general psych major and was wondering if any seniors decided to opt for a second major instead of specialising in one of the 3 fields?
for context, i want to pursue my masters (and beyond) and become a practicing psychologist (in the forensic psych field). i was thinking of either doing a general psych major + second major in public safety & security OR specialise in forensic psychology and do a minor/take free electives.
any seniors in the FT psych programme now cld share ur experiences/thoughts on my plan? thank you!
Hi just wanted to get a read on the average graduating or penultimate GPAs in SUSS...from all the stories I hear, most students have a GPA of 3.5-3.8, which is concerning because that seems terribly low for average.
Just asking because I would HOPE to think that there is still a good chance for many people to excel well in this school where they can get 4.0 and above.
Also why is grade moderation such a controversial thing in SUSS? Its like the school doesn't want their students to compete with the other local unis when applying for work.
hellooo I dont see anybody posting on here about early childhood.... I was waitlisted even though my Gpa is solid and i felt that my interview went well...
Im guessing this year Its really competitive especially with the cohort intake.
Can any seniors suggest or give their success stories on getting an offer after being waitlisted?
And who else also is waitlisted HAHA!
Anybody here applied for accounting and already got accepted? I’ve been on the reserve list since 1st April and did my interview on 19th March. I’m getting really worried because there are only 5 days left until the close of the first acceptance window 😭😭
Leaning into this reddit community for help and if you've been in the same position as me
Got back the results yesterday and found out that I failed one of my core mods with a Fail (***edit: retake not resit). For context, before going for the exam, I had an OWAS of 38%. I know one of SUSS components to pass a mod is to score a minimum of 40% for OWAS but I went for the exam anyway because I didn't think it was too much of a deal since there were others who scored lower and managed to pass the mod. (I ADMIT I WAS NEGLIGENT ON THIS PART)
Anyway, I got back my results and wasn't surprised but since we're not given back the exam transcripts, I can't be too sure if the fail was because of the OWAS or exam component (although I'm guessing its OWAS). Do you think I have a chance to submit a formal grade appeal on this since its literally only 2% and ITS MY GRADUATING SEMESTER) What's worse is that I didn't submit any modules for retake during the ECA submission so if lets say I die die have to retake this exam, will there be another opening for ECA submission during the 'add/drop course offer' just in time for July semester? Or do I have to defer next sem and have to retake next year JANUARY?
Hiii I'm really worried because alot of people have been getting their application results alr and I have yet go get mine. SIT has alr released mass rejection. So I'm wondering if SUSS does mass rejection as well? So i can prepare for it :')
Interview was 4th april TT. Pls tell me if anyone has done their interview ard the same date or earlier and have yet to get theirs??
hello all
just got rej from suss ft psych, so is it possoble for me to appeal into like my other choice which was early childhood? Im really down i cant believe i got rejected. And also what is cet? if u do that r u guranteed a degree or nah?
thank u very much
Hellooo ive been offered a spot at SUSS and i wanted to ask has anyone done their undergrad at suss and then gone overseas to the uk to do masters? Its always been a dream to study overseas and doing undergrad would be too expensive but i think masters will be better since its about 1-2 years! For context im gonna be doing psych :)
Been on the waitlist for months... has anyone received any news from SUSS Marketing lately? It's such a painful wait, im guessing as the days go by the chances of rejection are just going to get higher?
a little silly but is there a chance they miscalculate your gpa i’ve calculated my sgpa and it doesn’t add up to the one they provided 😢 i just wanted some clarification before i email student services and embarrass myself lol
how did everyone do peeps. If u did do well, congrats. If you didnt, fk it we ball. Good summer break everyone.
its less than a week till 25 may and i havent heard back from suss, been radio silence… i went for my interview 30th april, am i going to be rejected or are they just slow with processing?
Hi guys ,
So just saw my exam results and failed. Have to resit.
Question is , prior to our results we were told to preselect some modules we want to take for our next semester. Now that i got my results, i saw my interim timetable and i would like to drop some modules so that the semester will be manageable. Can someone tell me the steps to do so? Would gladly appreciate the help thanks.
And also what does the Pass/Fail entail? Does it mean we accept the grade that is given meaning it will be reflected on our cert because we accept it? So does it also insinuate that you can opt to resit if you not happy with the grade you get despite passing?
hi guys, as the title suggests. i received the rejection email for FT on 14th may, and i haven’t done anything for my appeal yet cause it has a 500 word cap. i didn’t receive any interviews prior to this rejection as well. i haven’t seen anyone put up a post like this before where there’s no interview so i cannot seek advice anywhere 🥹
for some context, i’m an international applicant and i applied with my poly grades (i took business studies). my gpa is not the highest but i made up for it with very strong achievements nationally. i was really hoping suss would not reject me outright (in comparison to smu 😔) i also applied for scholarship with this and now my worry is that they rejected me because of it as well? 🥲
i applied to suss programmes in this order: supply chain management, business analytics, marketing, human resource management.
i understand the appeal process takes 21 working days so that’s about a month time. i also learned that if suss rejected me, smu will do the same to me somemore 😭
so…
- i saw there will still be three stages if i am successful. what are the chances like if i appeal? i saw success stories a lot on reddit, but i’m unsure
what should i do to maximise my chances of scoring a slot?
- if i do get in, what will they do with my scholarship application? is it a definite that they already deem me not eligible?
anything helps. trying to see hope and be optimistic about it 🙏
Anyone feel disheartened after seeing results? Like you did well for OCAS and was confident you did the same for the final component then BAM you just get a B-
Whats worse is that there is ABSOLUTELY no way to find out where you went wrong cause they don't give you back your marked scripts for the ECA/Exam. Kinda a sucky feeling tbh.
