Suzuki scross back seat space

Hi.

Im thinking about getting a Suzuki scross 2022 hybrid but im worried about the rear seat legspace.

Im 6'4" so and have two children who will be in the rear seat. Will the legroom be enough for a 7-12 year old behind me?

I really like the Suzuki scross simplicity and realibility. The closest Suzuki sales business is 3 hrs away, so cant test the rear seat myself easily.

Suzuki S-Cross - can it actually fit 2 rear-facing car seats?

Hey everyone,

Looking at getting a Suzuki S-Cross as our main family car. On paper, it ticks pretty much all of our boxes for long-term reliability, size and price.

I've planned to take my car seats to the dealership to test fit them, but I wanted to see if anyone here has real-world experience. Can the S-Cross realistically fit two rear-facing ISOFIX child seats at the same time or will it be a tight fit?

For context on front-seat space:

  • Me (driver): 5'11", but short legs (30" inseam)
  • Wife (passenger): 5'6", longer legs, but she prefers sitting pretty close to the dash anyway

We're running a BeSafe Beyond Go and a BeSafe Beyond 360 (both ISOFIX) if that helps.

Any S-Cross owners (or parents who've tested this setup) able to share how tight the front row gets? Appreciate any insights!

Cheers!

Suzuki Swift Fz,Nz 2010-2017 1.3 DDiS (in-tank) fuel pump.

Hey everyone, I need help.

I cannot find anywhere to buy the in-tank fuel pump with this part number 1510068L50. I was wondering if anyone knows any universal model (Bosch, Magneti Marelly, etc) or other cars that are suitable.

I just did a big service (clutch, etc) and after a couple of days the in-tank fuel pump left us....

Thanks in advance! 🤘

P.s. I'm in Greece.

Fun Fact: The South African-market Suzuki Swift 1.2 GA is even more basic than the base model Swift in most countries

Most countries’ base model Suzuki Swift is the GL trim, but South Africa gets the even more basic GA trim. Here are some design features that make the GA stand out:

  1. Unique pattern on fabric cloth seats.

  2. Central speedometer and no tachometer.

  3. Manual transmission only.

  4. Black plastic mirror caps.

  5. Comes with no radio as standard. Dealers would fit in custom infotainment radio or screens.

Suzuki Across plug-in 2023 model, a few questions

Hi all, I'm based in Europe and a good opportunity to buy a Suzuki Across Plug-in from 2023 has come up and, being the car practically identical to the Toyota RAV4, I still have a few questions that maybe a Suzuki Across owner can answer.

  • Regarding Software updates:
    • Does it update via OTA?
    • Does it have the same updates as the Toyota RAV 4?
    • Is there any noticeable difference in the features of the touch screen?
  • Regarding repairs:
    • Can the Toyota official mechanic deal with the Suzuki Across? I mean, are they able to connect and do a full diagnosis of the car?

And, of course, be welcome to rise any other friction point.

In the end, I can't really afford a Toyota RAV4 from 2023, but I'm able to afford this Suzuki Across from 2023 since it is 5.000€ cheaper.

Thanks all!

Infotainment system upgrade

Today I received my Suzuki S-Cross 2017 with this Infotainment system. I was able to pair my phone and use the call function but not the GPS system since there is no SD card inserted.

I would like to use my Android phone to use Google Maps / Audible / Spotify while driving.

Is that possible with the current infotainment system or do I need to upgrade to a 3rd party system and have it installed?

I viewed multiple videos where people install the new system themselves and have trouble getting the rear camera to work. Even the comment section in the videos have multiple people asking for a solution.

Testing the DIY Car Wash and a new Antenna!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday being Sunday was a great time to try out the car's new oc3 washer 🧽🚿🧺🙂👌🏼

About 5-6L was more than sufficient for two washes with light soap and a bit of waterless car wash liquid from sonax 🍺👌🏼

All in big savings vs using the petrol stations and now just ordered a 3 gallon side tank to expand mobile washing capacities to 6-7 washes with conservative use.

The portable car wash is now a permanent addition in the car, allowing me to deploy and wash whenever wherever!! 🍻🙂👌🏼

Due to usb c power the hose motor is also self charging in the trunk which takes about 2 hours tops.

Visible in the photos is also a manual gardening can which am using to store sonax wash and wash soap. This is used as a prep prior to hosing the car, making it a simple two step.

Also installed a short antenna from Japan that replaces my existing UK DAB aerial and it is cute. No more having it obstruct the roof or wonder about low height clearances.

Unfortunately towards the end i decided to mess around and try 8 liters (the maximum) in the car. The OC3 spilled whilst driving and all of it tumbled into the boot. Sheer luck that the trunk is soundproofed so all the plain water just pooled below the boot where spare tyre is stored.

#Suzuki reliability

Yesterday I saw a 4 lakh+ km runned access 125 (2021 model year) in Maharashtra fleet. Rider said only one time timing chain change.. Crazy! [OC]

My first suzuki

Recently discovered there was a reddit room designated to Suzuki vehicles so I thought i’d post my first car after recently passing my driving test! So far I love my little suzuki, although I think a new clutch may be needed soon as it has a much higher biting point to what I learned to drive in
Cherry on the top, I picked it up for a great price! I’d also like to ask if anyone has any accessories etc that they recommend for a suzuki! Many thanks :)

It's Been Awhile!!!

Hi Everyone,

It's been awhile and little swifty has now been serviced with an aircon chemical wash as well as an OWS branded engine, cabin, and fuel tank treatment 🚙😊

The car runs on pure RON 100 which i've gotten used to pumping across the border at the awesome price of just £1.13 per litre!!! 😱😱😱

Cabin seems to be largely temperature controlled post soundproofing and the ac appears not to need to work as hard in overcoming the 34-37c heat here 🍹👌🏼

Just purchased an OC3 portable last week with a USB-C powered 8 litre collapsible tank allowing me two to three car washes anywhere, anytime and also letting me cool off at the beach post swim by showering on the go with a privacy tent 🤣🍺👌🏼

The unit is powered by a 12v socket located at the rear left towards the back and along with the two armrest three pin power sockets round off a solid camping setup for festival season.

There isn't much left to do at this juncture, so the car is more or less complete.

Thanks for following my adventures and project - Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂🏄🏼

Axel swap

Black axel leaking at axel seals from bad bearings.

White axel had full rebuild last summer with an E-locker and brake disk conversion.

Good time to put it in I guess…

First car advice

I am turning 17 soon and am looking to get my first car. My first choice currently would be a zc32s Suzuki swift sport (around 2015ish), which is reliable, economical fun and practical. I have also considered a fiat panda 100hp but I fear it is too much of a toy, despite being very fun. A clio 182 would be a blast but it probably too unreliable and not safe enough, while an e46 3 series is a little too old, unreliable and perhaps a little too heavy to be properly fun, despite it being rly cool. Lastly the VW lupo gti is also an option, but it might be a tiny bit unsafe and maybe more expensive to maintain… Any advice? Other options I should be considering? Or is the Suzuki the best choice… (budget around 8k £)
Btw, also been considering an mx5 but insurance would likely break me plus 2 seater so I’d miss out on fun with mates

Suzuki Vitara turbo 2024 issue

I have a Suzuki vitara 2024 turbo
Love the car but from new it’s always had this sort of delay when taking off, not power delay it seems to hold on to a neutral state where I’ll either roll back or I’ll let go of the brake and can wait like 5 seconds before I feel it start moving.
I reported it to the dealership but they just put cannot fault.

I guess my question is whether or not this is a modern car thing? In any other car I’ve had when you let go of the brake your car at least starts moving on idle power a bit. Understand that the turbo lag exists but it is literally a huge delay even starting to move and when I’ve had to take off in a hurry I have to brace myself for the sudden jolt

Peltier Device substitute for missing AC on a Suzuki vitara cabrio

Im trying to get A/C in the old thing to take the edge of the heat when its a bit too much. I tried searching for the discontinued retrofit kit went to mechanics that specialized such mods which said a proper ac cannot be installed.

Since im ok just having a bit of colder breeze in my face instead of cooling down the whole interior, i thought of installing peltier element cooling into the roof that im going to refurbish.

sadly i know little about what parts are needed and how to feed it power and how to control it.

Where would i find something along the lines of a "Guide for dummies"?
