A question for Syrians💚

I’m from Jordan and I grew up with you guys as friends and neighbors when you came here during the war, and I love you so much, and I have a question for you and I wish that you don’t take it personally, I see a lot of arabs talking about marrying a Syrian girl and that stuff in very disrespectful way that makes the Syrian looks like she has no dignity, and I started to notice that Syrians started to hate it when someone tries to marry a Syrian girl, the hard part is, that I really wish to marry a girl from your country, cuz I know how much you guys are great and full of kindness and love, I don’t have the thoughts of (باب الحارة) that the Syrian girl would accept that I would hit her or disrespect her and be her boss and she would make me food and calls me ابن عمي, I don’t have any of that cuz I lived with Syrians and I know that this is not how they are, so I need help from you guys, how can I do it the right way, what is the right way to find a Syrian match, and if you are a Syrian girl, how would you like someone to propose to you?🙃

Danish journalist seeking interviews on Syria's transitional justice process in Damascus

Hi everyone,

I’m a journalist from Denmark writing for Stud.Jur, the largest student magazine in Denmark, read by thousands of people interested in law, politics, and society.

A photographer and I will soon be traveling to Damascus to report on Syria’s ongoing transitional justice process, including the legal efforts to hold members of the former Assad regime accountable.

We’re hoping to speak with lawyers, judges, legal researchers, human rights organizations and survivors. We want to understand how these proceedings are unfolding, what challenges remain, and what justice means to the people most affected.

Our goal is to tell this story accurately and responsibly for an international audience. If you are willing to speak with us or can help put us in touch with relevant people or organizations, please send me a direct message.

Thank you very much, and we look forward to listening to your perspectives.

Best,
Oskar

Opinion: burning trash is the biggest issue facing Syria currently

What Syrians think of Yazid? I am a convert to Islam and I wonder?

Whenever I read about Syria I see some really weird stuff and I just wonder why?

  1. Syrian ruler Yazid massacred the family of the Messenger. There are reports he hit the face of Hussain with a stick and shoved a stick into his teeth.
  2. On top of that I read that the main collaborators of the British against the Turks were the Syrians.
  3. Now I saw in the news Syrian president with Trump and Trump spraying him with some perfume of "victory".

I just wonder like what do Syrians believe in?

Is your religion or interpretation of moral and Islam the same like we have in Bosnia? Or what would be main differences from your ideology from us?

I just wonder if regular Syrians support these actions done by your leaders or your country?

(I am not a troll and don't have any intentions, and I never met a single Syrian in my life, I just want to know what a regular Syrian thinks?)

Syrian Living in Lebanon All His Life - How is Syria Doing?

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I am a Syrian male, 25 years old. I have lived in Lebanon all my life since my family relocated here.

How is Syria doing right now? What is it really like living in different areas (Latakia, Aleppo, Damascus, etc.)? What does healthcare look like? Is it still socialised or mostly private?

What are the salaries like for business roles such as marketing, sales, and analyst positions, and are those roles even readily available? And how does rent look nowadays?

I would appreciate your support on this, and I hope you can share personal experiences as well.
