Would you rather....
Would you rather:
Jax had a small redemption arc where he apologized to everyone and never abstracted, but Caine never comes back.
OR
Do you prefer the real ending we got where Jax abstracted but we got Caine back?

So the most recent Film Theory was focusing on The Amazing Digital Circus and Jax once again, the theory was basically that Jax will be the final villain in The Last Act and he's another form of Scratch, the first abstracted player who helped create the circus.
Personally, I find this as dumb as the Jax is the evil AI theory and I think this is what Gooseworx meant by "people make theories of what they want to happen rather than what actually fits the story".
For starter's, one point in the video that was wrong is how he made it seem like the entire cast lashed out at Jax for the button press and that Jax will be upset the same doesn't happen with Kinger. But that's not the case, only Zooble lashed out, with Gangle and Pomni both defending Jax.
Next, the theory that Jax is Scratch is just laughable. Firstly, the person in the trailer saying "Jax" is Ribbit, not Pomni. Secondly, Jax is freaking out the ENTIRE time when Kinger is talking, before Scratch is mentioned. Jax's "this is real" is because he saw the "crazy one" breaking his "archetype" and he could no longer deny they're real people, not just "cartoon characters".
But finally, I feel Jax being the villain is both too obivous and a misdirection. The episode 8 trailer had everyone thinking Caine will try to revive the abstracted characters to make things right or use old adventures and send the cast on them, but he just went AM mode. Having the jerkass be the final villain just feels too cliche and generic. The Last Act seems like it'll more be about exploring Jax's head, backstory and finally finding out if he can be saved.
Honestly, the ending felt very well made to me. The whole of Ep9 did.
I suppose to get the only few issues I have out of the way first, there are just some parts that don’t make sense. Why can’t someone just conjure another Jax? Or un-abstract all the characters? I wish there was a little more on abstracting and what it actually is.
Also, the whole bubble thing. Maybe it’s not clear enough to me, but I’m definitely not understanding. That episode didn’t answer anything else about bubble, so what exactly bubble is or how he’s connected to Caine is also a mystery.
Jax abstracting is a great part. He gets that full redemption in a similar way Rexplode from invincible does. Jax hugs pomni at the end. Jax lets himself go. Jax admits he is afraid to abstract. And I love that. Jax WAS redeemed.
Caine coming back is pretty well redeemed, although it’s confusing why exactly he came back, my headcannon is TADC is some sort of program on the computer they’re on, Caine just got sent to the recycle bin and brought himself back, that’s why he’s mirroring what he did originally to make the circus because he was deleted originally. The whole series has been about the characters, and seeing that Caine part honestly made me feel some sorrow for him. I mean I have no mouth but I must scream never touches on how AM feels really, but it’s beautiful they let Caine be redeemed. The poor guy is literally god and is completely alone. That scene where the moon says she loves him is SO well done.
Overall, the ending feels really well done. I don’t understand the criticism. Jax gets a bittersweet redemption, the main villain helps to right his wrongs, the REAL people are in better places, and the whole series walks away with a strong message: Be grateful for what you have.
Pomni brings up many good points throughout the series, like how THEY are all eachother have, how they need to stop worrying about leaving, and how they should enjoy what they have together. It’s such a nice ending because they realize none of them truly matter, which is something they were always hung up on: wanting to escape, to be someone in the real world, but now they can just enjoy what they have.
I love the ending.
Let me know thoughts and/or if I missed any big details that can clarify more bubble lore.
Fuckers! Its common fucking decency to not spoil in the fucking title when talking about something that's a spoiler!
The whole general agreement was posting fake ones until after june forth but yall assholes are posting spoiling clips like its already past june 4th.
May you all who spoiler in titles suffer being constantly spoilered in the future. That is my curse.
I am a person that really doesn’t mind being spoiled so hard, I’ve always sought out leaks and spoilers. I enjoy it. I’m still gonna go to the theaters since at least it’ll be on a huge screen, in great quality, it’ll actually be in English, and I’d be watching with my friend and the other IRL fans.
I don’t quite know how I feel about the ending. There’s a lot missing and it isn’t perfect, however it’s not offensively bad to me personally. I enjoyed this series from the beginning and thankfully I never got too engaged with the fandom so unlike its creator, I’m not sick of this. lol
So here’s to hoping more of you don’t completely shit yourselves in anger toward this finale, and here’s to hoping that my theater doesn’t smell like shit on the 4th.
I mean the whole scene was set for her to save him. I was genuinely hoping she would. Did I miss something because of horrible english sub or?
Yes..this is really.. yes its in Portuguese, yes I could get kicked out if the fandom for thia
From what I’ve saw, it was kinda alright. At least Jax abstracted and Ragatha didn’t.
I’m still gonna go see the movie with my parents :3
Hey y'all, sub maker here
So.. worse case scenario happened. Whole last episode got leaked in its entirety. The *whole thing* in the Brazilian dub with English subtitles is on Internet Archice right now uploaded by someone I'm 95% sure might be Goose herself. This is gonna be the safest space to discuss it until it's officially uploaded to YouTube after the movie premiere. Please remember to come here and *ONLY* here to talk about it and let others who have seen it know of the subs existence!
Now, admittedly I kind of have to get my thoughts entirely straightened out before I do a full review of the Last Act. I will say though, it's... weird. Like, even for this show's standards it took a route I wasn't expecting. Live action bits, Caine's survival with Bubble being stationary and.. I think a straight up Ragapom tease? I think that's what they were trying to get at anyway.
It's not had, but I got gripes. Jax getting explored after he had already abstracted is just such a bizarre move to me, and there's not a whole ton of answers to some other questions. It feels rushed in some areas, but it's not like.. **awful**. Just a bit underwhelming. I can see it being controversial when it comes out in full for sure. What did you guys think?
its in brazilian dub tho but it has subtitles
Without going into too much detail, was it good?
its only in brazilian and it was on discord.
and yes its real i just watched it-
I’m scared like what is this and the last one looks like flashback from episode 6
I'm just wondering, since I'm going with a family member. Without any spoilers please
