Incoming transfer — what should I do before NSC?

Hi everyone,

I’m an incoming Fall 2026 transfer student majoring in Financial Planning. My NSC is July 17, and I’m trying to make sure I’m ready.

My checklist still shows FAFSA, housing, AP/IB scores, and Tuition Rate Code as incomplete. Housing/AP scores may not apply to me, so I’m mostly worried about the tuition rate code.

I have about 65 transfer credits, so I think I have around two years left. I already emailed my advisors to ask about what classes I still need, but I haven’t heard back yet.

A few questions:

  1. What should I prioritize before NSC?
  2. Is it normal for advisors to take a bit to respond before NSC?
  3. How should transfer students decide on the tuition rate code?
  4. Where do I sign up for the online orientation, and what do you actually do there?
  5. Anything you wish you did before NSC?

Thanks for any advice!

Confused about the MPE

I'm a Blinn TEAM student, and I want to transfer to Mays. From what I can tell, the MPE is required only for people who want to take math 147, 151 or 171. I would be starting with math 140, since I don't have any AP credits or anything.

Admitted Question

Quick question! I just got admitted June 27th, and I’m wondering when I’ll get my actual letter in the mail with my sign. How many days after getting admitted should it come in?

Fall Admission question

I applied to Texas A&M for the fall semester as a transfer student on January 1st for Construction Science. In February, I received an email stating I needed to send an updated spring transcript from my community college due to taking classes that needed to be finished so I could be considered for admission, which I sent on may 15! I finished the spring semester with 54 completed hours, and a 3.72 gpa!

My audit report updated on June 4th! Not sure if I should be getting worried or not?

Just wondering if I should be worried about not hearing back yet?
