Hot Take: NiXthmare is a good mode but flawed.

I love nightmare mode but its flawed.

  1. You can get a refactor by wave 12 - 16 and it will carry wave 20 and beyond.

  2. The Air Spam wave and the Extremely long wave was not needed for the mode. They can be removed and it won't change the lore at all (I think)

  3. The emperor feels like a walking health bar

His attacks barley deal any damage to your defense and refactor mealts the him and the clone mks, also his attacks can be easily out healed and I barely have to do anything but sell refactor when corrupted.

Is my pvp loadout good or not in TDX

Is my loadout good or not in TDX pvp and what changes should I make (I don’t have ref and wm)

Why TDX’s Nightmare mode is the “best” version of a TD Hardcore mode

Let’s be honest no one likes TD hardcore modes because they feel like a bore fest and are quite disengaging. TDX’s Nightmare mode however has certain elements that make it an exception.

1. Actual preparation time and resources - TDX’s nightmare mode is actually one of the kindest modes simply because it gives a big budget to make a moderate defense for the early game. Unlike other games where they just give you the regular budget (cough cough TDS Hardcore cough). The wave structure is also designed to ramp up in a simple way, giving you time to prepare for the larger threats later on.

2. More than just DPS checks - Most TD games run on the simple “Have enough DPS to win” algorithm, which I honestly find quite boring. TDX however has more than just checking your DPS. That being making sure your towers are alive and that you also have enough support to keep them alive. I’ve always had a fondness for TD games that engage you into managing your towers like an actual army, instead of just getting the best DPS loadouts and having a nap while the boss gets annihilated.

3. It feels rewarding - Nightmare mode gives players a high reward for winning the mode, which helps to engage them into playing more into getting more for better units.

Overall I find TDX’s nightmare mode to be the “best” version of a TD hardcore mode. Despite it being quite challenging, it also feels very engaging due to how the system behind it is structured.

In conclusion, High risk, High reward executed nicely.

Which enemy you don't want to be added in pvp mode? X

I will go first, dj bot from man vs steel, not only he heals but also speeds everyone around him, which would make him a big threat when spammed on a boss rush or even with normal bosses that are spawned naturally on pvp mode.

I did it, I beat the Emperor. X

So, how am I supposed to grind for crystals?
Because after this I honestly don't want to go into this mode solo until I get the crystal towers.

Any tips for crystal grinding?

I beat nightmare mode solo, on a phone, no Behemoth Factory X

Unfortunately I didn't clip it, so all I have is the screenshots, but I'm still genuinely so happy I finally beat the mode

Worst Day ever X

Partly because I’ve been lazy and partly because last week was so busy, by the time I was finally able to do it, it was too late

PvP Update X

So, as we know - PvP update sucks. But I have many ideas to make it fun and not just gamemode for 3 hours.
1v1v1 - 3 teams faces against each other, when you send zombies - it sends for each opponent. Instead of victory/lose, it have 3rd, 2nd and 1st places(25%, 60% and 100% reward).
Rush Mode - Zombie longer no naturally spawns, instead, wave formed by opponent. Game gives you certain amount of points for each wave - you must use it efficiently to actually win.
Trophies - PvP exclusive value, can used to buy new enemies, power-ups and other Trophy-exclusive content(towers, skins). For each win you gain 10 trophies and for each lose 2 trophies.
Blitz Mode - Much shorter, contains only 20 waves, but alot more difficult than default PvP Mode, gives 0,8x rewards of PvP Mode.
PvP towers:
Anarchist - works kinda same, as TB variant. At lvl 0 gives you extra sending slot, which can used to send zombie for full price, but without any economy buff/nerf and twice as longer to send. At lvl 5 gives you 3 extra sending slots, cooldown shorts to default. Have placement limit of 1.
Insta-Use Towers:
7th tower slot, you can pick a 1 from 4 of new insta-use towers.

  1. Uber Ray($50000 to use in match) - covers any non-friendly buff immune tower and ubers it for 20 seconds.
  2. War Machine($600.000 to use) - instantly spawns War Machine III on field.
  3. Golden Z.E.D($500.000 to use) - instantly spawns Golden ZED on field.
  4. Giga-Speakers($125.000 to use) - knockbacks all non-boss enemies in 30 stud radius for 3 studs 4 times.
    PvP Bosses:

Specter:
Health - 120.000
Shield - 30.000
Bullet Resistance: 75%
Laser Resistance: 50%
Golden Resistance: 55%
Collision Resistance: 90%
Very Slow Speed
Abilities:
Destruction Ray - Targest strongest tower with its ray, dealing a 3000 DPS for 1.5 seconds
Split Ray - Targets 6 random towers in medium range, dealing a 600 DPS for 1.5 seconds for each.

FXnally getting to test out pvp, what enemy setup should I use?

Simple enough question here, I haven't been able to play pvp at all yet, I don't know good enemy loadouts, so figured I'd ask yall for some ideas.

I'll use whichever loadout convinces me the most, or has the most upvotes in a few hours.

No enemies are off limits, I'll be buying them all when I'm able to hop on tdx again.

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps out here.
