The play and shuffle buttons at the top of playlists and the tracks sections are gone now? Kind of annoying, when driving it was easier to switch to offline mode (that’s a topic for another day), go to downloads>tracks and then hit shuffle. I guess now we have to try and poke the tiny shuffle icon on the terrible new play screen?

I just wish Tidal had the UI to back up its library quality. They’re lucky we are willing to deal with it tbh. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten an email saying they’re done simply because they cannot get their UI to make sense. It’s not rocket science, it’s nothing new. Other companies figured it out a decade ago. There is no excuse honestly and I’m tired of pretending it’s okay.

I was also surprised as I got into the car to drive over to our family 4th festivities with my wife that all of my downloaded music was gone and was now going to try and redownload itself. Unfortunately I live in a rural area without consistent service so offline mode and downloaded music is a must. Tidal, please, get it together. I’m tired, as we all are.

Edit: looks like reinstalling fixed the buttons for playlists. But I still don’t have them for the downloaded tracks section

Tidal keeps playing like 10 seconds of a song and then cue the thinking circle of death and I have to restart. This has been going on for days. I have restarted the app, my phone, all for fucking nothing.

This is like the worst music blue balls. I am dying.

Been a Tidal subscriber for over 10 years with no complaints but this is gonna drive me over the edge.

So I have a thought, does anyone else subscribe to Tidal because it has the best audio quality on music video's?

Since I bought a new laptop, with a ryzen 7 7730u and 16 gb of RAM DDR4, I was wondering why sometimes the app struggles, was wondering if maybe is due of it's a 32-bit app or maybe other reason, but I want to hear y'all recommendation about it, should I stay on app even if it could fail or better use the web player?

i am actually going insane!! i am not sure if these two things are connected but:

thing one: every so often i am randomly signed out of tidal. im using the sign-in with apple id so its really easy to sign back in. this happens less often than the download thing.

thing two: almost everytime i need my music offline, the songs and playlists i have downloaded aren’t downloaded but show in queue for download. even though countless of times have i sat and watched my music download on wifi, with my screen on the download page. on the playlist’s page (like one i have downloaded “in the past”) it will say downloaded then randomly switch to not downloaded! and the size of the app NEVER CHANGES. SO IDK WHERE THIS IS BEING STORED AHHH I JUST WANNA LISTEN TO MY MUSIC ON MY FLIGHTS AND ROADTRIPS!!!

lmk if this happens to you and if i need like different settings or something…

As always, I like Tidal's profound artist and album info, design, connect and the recommendations for me are good. But as I like info, It stitches me when a fake song/album is under the official profile. There's a singer, Jordan Patterson, that seems very interesting to me, but her profile in Tidal is completely wrong. I think is responsibility of the artist label to upload the right profile? If so, how come they upload the wrong one or how come Tidal mix one with another? Do you think this issues will change in the date they're saying or It will take many more months?

I'm talking artists that have the same names. For example: the rapper Milo (aka R.A.P. Ferreira) has a ton of albums on his profile that have nothing to do with him. It fucked up my algorithm and I get weird AI-seeming music popping up on my new releases, mixes, etc. Doesn't seem like it's on purpose, though. There's a few different "other" Milos, all on the "real" Milo's profile. I guess it's just a common name lol.

Other times, it seems more malicious. Randoms using another artist's name to get plays based on name recognition. Example: alex_g_offline is an archive of Alex G's older music. There are a bunch of, again, seemingly AI songs on this artist profile too.

Is there a way I can report these things to tidal?

I think tidal is already doing a kinda good job promoting albums instead of playlists BUT i often wanna listen to a new album on my way to work and there‘s probably dozens that people recommended to me and i just can‘t remember them or are just too tired to look for them so i just put on something i listened to before. I think something like a listening queue or folder for albums you haven‘t listened to before would be great.

what makes tidal better than the popular alternative music apple music and spotify

I send a decently sized ticket to tidal support about their broken “shuffle” button, if we can even call it that. And I have had no response for over 2 weeks. No confirmation email either. Anyone else had this issue before?

Now on a long trip with no music to listen to. Dont you just love this broken ass app? And paying increased rates for the privilege.
