KDL55EX720-SONY TV 2011 image problem

So some months ago my Sony tv, which is now pretty old, stopped showing image. I turned it off, then on and the image appeared again, but after a few seconds it vanished. I think the image disappears in relation to how long I've turned it off. Does it have to do with the blacklight? Or the power supply? Please help.

Is it my LED Strips? Sharp LC-50N7004U

My Sharp LC-50N7004U TV shows the splash screen, then fades and disappears.
Does anyone know if the issue is with the LED Backlight strips, the main board, or something else?

Is it even worth replacing?

Thanks!

What’s wrong with my Samsung Q70A 85’TV?

Hi everyone - I bought a Q70A around 3 years ago and placed it in my very humid man cave. Unfortunately I recently noticed that it stopped working and it shows by a weird flashing coming off the lower left corner. The red light never turns on and I’ve tried the simple methods of troubleshooting (unplug and reconnect, hold on/off button for 30s) to no avail.

Is it worth exploring replacing any parts in the back panel or is my TV an 85’ piece of junk not worth saving at this point?

Thanks!

Panasonic oled tv shuts down after 20 seconds TX-65FZW804 burned connector

I opened it and noticed this burned connector. Is this something I could fix myself, easy replacement cable fix, or do I need to bring it to a repair store?

Edit: tried to find a replacement board for TZRNP05QRWE but no stock anywhere. Is a burned connector like this replacable? Im unable to remove the cablez the connector is melted stuck

Is this worth attempting to fix instead of replace?

I got this tv 18 months ago, it’s a UN75DU8000FXZC edge lit 75 inch Samsung

I would like to repair but as I understand it, the bigger the tv, the riskier it is to repair.

I believe I need to replace the light strips as I can still see the picture behind that dark spot.

My next question is.. am I good to use the replacement parts off Amazon? I mean with how short a time the original parts lasted I guess Samsungs parts aren’t that great as it is.

Idk just don’t wanna waste my time but a new tv is not really in the budget atm. (I am a gigging musician who’s amp is finished, 3 kids, etc etc)

LG 55' (55LW4500)

I bought this TV about 6 months ago second hand. Not sure what any of the specs are or anything specific about it but I am having a problem where the screen has a green distortion of sorts. It doesn't happen all the time and usually dissappears after a few hours of using it. Seems to effect the dark areas the most. My attempts at searching for a solution online (reddit, Google, YouTube etc) have shown me no fixes at all. I have tried many things such as disconnecting it as well as Hdmi, and quick resetting the TV and factory resetting. If anyone could help find a solution it would be great.

TIA

Un55nu710d, what is this piece of tape?

I was replacing the backlighting, which went smoothly enough, but this piece of tape has lost all its adhesion and won't connect. There's another one on the other side, but it reconnected just find.

It looks to me like it's a ground for the lcd control, it has a texture to it and looks metallic. Can anyone confirm this for me, and let me know if I need to replace it with a specific kind of tape?

Thank you so much!

Is my TV done for?

I have a Vizio 4K TV (Model P50-C1) from around 2013 that finally seemed to have bit the dust. This randomly popped up on my screen, is warm to the touch, and seems to get bigger.

Fixable? or am I making a trip to the recycling center.

Sony XBR-65X850E help: three "new boards" are bad?

I am trying to repair my Sony XBR-65X850E.

The screen doesn't power on so I thought it was a bad PSB, I took it out and measured two shorted diodes. I ordered a new board from TVPartsToday but it had three shorted diodes. I ordered a replacement board but that too had the same three shorted diodes. Then, I ordered another replacement board which had only one shorted diode. Interestingly, all four boards (mine and the three new ones) had the same bad diode (bottom left). I contacted them and they said all three boards being bad is statistically improbable and voltage readings can be misleading, and that it's likely a different issue, such as a main board.

Am I just incredibly unlucky with these boards or is it normal for certain diodes to read as shorted?

Philco Roku TV (PTV55G52R2C4K) keeps booting into Recovery Mode. Any ideas before I open it?

My Philco Roku TV is driving me insane. It keeps booting into Recovery Mode, and I can't figure out why.

Here's everything I've already tried:

- Updated the firmware manually using a USB drive.

- Updated it through the Recovery menu itself.

- Unplugged every external device (USBs, antennas, everything).

- Tried a different power cable.

- Factory reset using the physical reset button on the back.

Nothing has fixed it.

The weird part is that it sometimes works normally for a few minutes or even a few hours. Then it either randomly reboots back into Recovery Mode, or it happens after I turn the TV off and try to turn it back on. It also occasionally turns itself on for no apparent reason.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there anything else I can try without opening the TV? I'm trying to rule out every software-related possibility before assuming it's a hardware issue.

Samsung QN75Q800TAFXZA repair help

Trying to repair my Samsung Q800T. One day the screen just wouldn’t turn on and I heard a clicking sound coming from the power supply board. After some research, found a blog with a similar issue. They unplugged the main board from the power board and the screen lit up, which mine did as well. Ordered a used board and but I am still getting the same issue. Could is be a defective board? Or another issue? I’ve attach a picture with the main board disconnected and the lights on through the frame. FWIW, I got the used board from TVPARTSTODAY

Model: UN58CU7000KXZL apparently damaged Samsung Crystal panel

It's 3 years old. Suddenly, an anomaly appeared in the left quadrant where the letters seem to echo. Is it possible to fix it? Is it worth it? Could it be due to voltage fluctuations?

Sony Bravia XR77A-80K

Hi all, I recently picked up this semi broken TV for shutting off intermittently. I haven’t ran it long enough to see that yet but I do notice this large chunk of discoloration/distortion? Any help identifying it and how I could possibly fix? The tv came with an extra main board, power board, and tcon not sure if those can help.

Samsung qn90a bought in 2022 won’t turn on after 4 years

Of course it’s now out of extended warranty. No red standby light, and I’ve tested the outlet and the TV in other outlets, etc. It seems completely dead.

In the months leading up to this, the OS had gotten extremely laggy with a number of forced restarts and things like that.

I’m not super technical - Best Buy wants $100 to just do a diagnostic. Is this something that’s worth trying to get fixed or should i just buy a new TV? I’m hesitant to do the diagnostic if the verdict is going to be that it’s unfixable or not cost effective to fix. Or going to take a super long time to get new parts and have them installed, etc.

I’m annoyed because this was a $1500 purchase but it does look like both the C5 and the S90F are cheaper than that now, plus at least i already have mounting hardware in place.

Is this worth having a diagnostic done or should i just replace?
