Hey guys! I have basic knowledge of cat coats and wanted to come somewhere where people can help me understand more about coats and colorings and markings. From my understanding (and chat gpt’s), my cat is a mackerel tabby with white markings that’s possibly “frosted”? Help me out! I guess I haven’t seen this kind of fur up close before. I’m trying to figure out what to call all the light colors hairs that are throughout his coat.

Meet Joe.

One of the slightly feral cats had kittens. One day, he came out from the car and had no idea where the mom and siblings went. Decided to care for him so he wouldn't get eaten (we live in the country). Here he is about a couple months later. He loves to snuggle on me to sleep. He also loves when I give him kisses. He's just a big purring machine!
