Out of every ten people in this sub, how many do you think are exaggerating or lying

Irl nobody is as tall as on here. I’m only 6ft and it shows that people feel height more than they measure it, they look online and think it’s normal for someone to be freaking 6’8, someone sees a couple 6’3 athletes at school and all of the sudden they post online that “everyone” is 6’5 at their school. How many people here actually are the height they say they are barefoot on a tape measure. My school in the third largest us city with 2500 kids of all economic and ethnic backgrounds and lifestyles, still doesn’t have insanely big people like a suburban town with an 800 student high school claims. Out of all 2500 kids there’s only about 10 or so dudes 6’2-6’3 and like 5 dudes that are genuinely 6’3-6’4 only one kid who graduated already was 6’5 and a couple years back we had a kid who was listed 6’8 or 6’9 on our basketball roster and irl was like 6’6/6’7
My dad is 6’4 and gets told he looks 6’6 no way he’s 6’4. When I got out of sophomore year in June I was like 5’11 getting called 6’1 or 6’2 even start of that school year 5’10 getting called 6’0 or 6’1
People are liars, if you go online and say you’re tall and you’re 6’1, don’t let anyone tell you you’re not tall, you are, you’re just honest.

Growth spurt

This is kinda close to rule six so I understand if it gets removed, but I do actually have a question. I’m 15 im about 6’5. Though I was only about 6’1 last year around this time. so I’ve grown like 4 inches almost but I’m still being told I could hit that 6’9 to 6’11 (4-6 in)is where I’m gonna stand. My feet also grew from about a 13 1/2 to a size 15 and have been continuously growing. I just wanted to know did anybody grow a lot more after a big growth spurt like this or even after the age 15

India experience

so I’m a male 5’3 160cm at aged 18 I’m short yes but I went india 2 years ago at 16 was the exact same height and literally felt average not even joking. There’s men 5’0 and below but also a lot of men who are 5’1 to 5’7 so I literally felt average I walked past men exactly same height or slightly shorter or taller. Only some men funnily enough some of my family are like 5’10+ but that’s it. Most men I walked past were NOT taller than 5’8. Only a few.

Haven’t grown since 15

For context, my dad is 6’2” and my mom is 5’5”–5’6”. I’m 18, turning 19 soon, and 5’7”. I’ve always been a late bloomer and less developed than people my age. I haven’t grown much since my initial growth spurt around freshman–sophomore year; I was 5’6” at 16. I’m wondering if I’m done growing or if I could still have some growth left.
My 13-year-old brother is already about ½” taller than me, despite us having the same dad and my mom being taller than his mom. My dad also grew about 3” in his early 20s and was a late grower, though I’m not sure how much that applies to me.
I also look noticeably young for my age. I have very little facial hair—basically the same light mustache since puberty—and only recently started getting a few chin hairs and tiny strands of chest hair. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you all!

Why am I not growing?

When I (male) was 13 years old I was 172cm, now I’m 19 at 173cm, my dad (180cm) and little brother (177cm) are taller than me, and I’ve got bigger feet than them with both being a UK 8 and me being UK 9-10. Keep in mind I’ve never had growth pains or sudden growth spurts before. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME SOMETHINGS WRONG HERE!

weight gain being hard?

I’m 134lbs and I literally barely gain weight. every inch of height i’d gain maybe 3lbs but i’m still so light at 5’10.5. why is it so hard. Most days i’m hitting 2700 calories when i count. and i get above 3000 a lot. I go to the gym at least 4 times a week but i’m still so skinny.

also the problem is mostly in my upper body for some reason my legs do get bigger and they’ve always been big but i’m literally a twig on the upper body.

Don't obsess over your height too much guys.

So when I was little, my doctor told my mom I would get to 6'6. Look at me now, 15, have barely grown in a year, and I'm 6'2.5'', MAYBE 6'3''. I very much doubt I'll get to 6'6, I'm starting to doubt I'll get to 6'4 even. So I got like DEVASTATED. It sounds stupid as fuck but it's true. I'm so tall, but I just wanted to be taller, to get to that "magic number."

Don't get in that headspace. Don't associate your height with important parts of your identity or think you're gonna get to an insanely high number until you've hit that number already. Be confident as you are and see the best parts of how you are, whether you are tall, short, or normal sized.

I'm 14 (birthday in April) and 184cm (6ft).

Unfortunately I stopped growing since March and I don't know what to do. My sleep schedule is messed up so that maybe why I stopped growing but I don't know. I don't do any sports. I want to be really tall, like 195cm so it is very important to me.

Any tips and will I keep growing or is it the end?

(if it's important my dad is 185cm, mom 170cm)

Are there any 190cm+ (6’3+) guys and 180+ (5’11+) girls who are more torso than legs proportion wise?

Asking as a 195cm 18 yo guy whose height is decently more torso than legs proportion wise.

Proportion question

I’m 15M (basically 16) and I am 5’10 like 179cm but I most of my height comes from my legs — like I am a medium to large in pants but a small in torso. And it’s like a really big difference. I also have really long arms and my wingspan is probably around 6’2 or more. Does that mean anything?

can we stop these bs AMA

Nobody cares if you’re 6’0 at 18 and nobody got a question for you. Stop trying to be popular. I keep seeing the most casual heights do these AMA’s, at least be 6’9+ if you wanna do one

What is your height & forearm length & cubit length?

Hello,

I’m obsessed with my arms being short and i’d like to know these measurements of you people.

I’m trying to figure out the average forearm length by height to compare with mine.

To measure your forearm length, place your elbow on a table at a 90-degree angle and measure down to the very tip of the bony bump on the wrist.

For cubit length, also keep your elbow at a 90 degree on the table and measure from the elbow down to the very tip of your middle finger.
