Tamon Binder (2/3) + Nautical Star CD

Yay, this was my first binder actually so I decided to... quickly use up the washi tape rotting away in my drawers... and also use stickers and actually the back of the stickers cus hey, it actually forms a cool background especially for the black-and-white manga panels.

Also, the Nautical Star CD is so amazing, that's totally why I bought 2 copies and not just to gamble and see who I'd get (I got Tamon MY GOD MY SAVIOUR MY SALVATION.... oh and Rintaro). But since I had an extra CD, I decided to incorporate it and its elements like the paper backing and track list for this binder. Lowkey sacrilegious but aren't we all in heaven with Tamon? Hehe...

SPOILER: What Ouri’s parents said to him in episode 9 was true.

In a childhood flashback, we see Ouri’s parents tell him that since they’re both famous actors it’ll be particularly impossible for him to also be successful in their field.

They said that him, “entering their domain” of acting, would invite comparison (of his skills to his parents) and that comparison would only lead to disappointment.

I hate to say it, but his parents were absolutely right! The children of big actors tend to fail epicly when they try to do what their parents did. Many fail and few succeed.

I don’t care for Ouri as a character, it sucks what his parents told him, but in that, they were actually right.

Tamon Binder (1/3)

Lmao so actually I have 3 binders for my mushroom son but I'm posting this one first because I got some cards from the Tamon pop-up shop at Latendo (I got all designs but these cards are arguably my favorites) (don't ask me about my wallet) (the uncle is scared of me now)(sorry uncle)

This first binder is mostly for photocards and because it is the thickest right now, it will most likely house future merch. The other 2 are going to burst soon, especially the one for the acrylic standees I have.

Tamon pop up shop in Singapore

I'm here on the first day. Can't wait to share the merch with you guys 😁

The pop up shop is held at the Dimension Poptown. It is a cafe space that holds anime themed pop up cafe/ shop. Interestingly, it is also a vegetarian cafe. This is the first time I have come across an anime themed vegetarian cafe.

All the merch is on display in the second photo. Every $30 spending gets you a postcard, there're 3 designs available.

There's a display wall right next door inside the La Tendo shop, you wouldn't notice it if you didn't go in.

My favorite buy is Linku Plush! I am so lucky to get Jimehara 🍄🍄🍄 It has a small magnet on its back. So maybe you can hold it up using a stick with a magnet at the end? Or just stick it on your fridge! 😆

I never expected this series to be this good for my Japanese studies

So I wasn't aware of this series until last week. My partner was away for a few days so I browsed recent more shoujo-ish seasonals to watch. Stumbled across Tamon b-side, figured why not, even though the summary was very cheesy. And oh boy, yes the idea is still very cheesy, but the execution is amazing. I had multiple very good laughs.
I might have bingewatched the full season in two days, continued the manga at the point the anime ended and then ran out of English manga in a day. Realized there were a lot more chapters but not translated yet...
I have been studying Japanese for the past three years, but as an adult with a day job and many more hobbies I take it at a slow pace so I'm not that far yet (for other learners: probably somewhere nearing N4 at the moment) very much not at a confident manga reading level... yet.. I haven't hyperfocused on a series this much in a long time and wanted to indulge.. So armed with an online dictionary and google translate I started going through the rest, and I just finished the remaining 28 chapters and 5 spin off chapters...
So thanks to this amazing series, because I have never read this much native content before, and was surprised how much I could read along. And ohboy the story, absolutely worth it. Now its time to wait for the next releases, of both the japanese manga, and the english manga and anime to actually understand the nuances and giggle and kick my feet all over again.

Tamon x Utage Ita Bag!

I made an ita bag for the best ship in the world: Utamon! I actually wanted a musical note bag but the guitar itabag was the PERFECT shade of pink. The first pic was when I first made it and the second is for how it looks like now after 3 months (and as my merch addiction grew). Hope you all like it and TAMON WA KAMI!!!
