I’ve been working on this AU for a while and finally decided to share it.

Tangled Metal AU — A “what if” where Tangle never fully gets cured after the Metal Virus arc.

During the outbreak, Sonic grabs her as we all know. but in this scenario his hyper-mutated virus strain fuses permanently with hers. When the global cure happens, it doesn’t work on Tangle. The nanites have become part of her DNA.

She gains full control over liquid-metal shapeshifting. She can still stretch, but now she can turn her arms and tail into blades, spikes, whips, shields, and more. She also has a powerful Chaos Mode — a hulking, armored hybrid form (chunky silver-orange body with glowing core and mercury, crystal accents).

She’s still the same energetic, protective Tangle at heart, but now carries the weight of being the only permanent carrier left. The story focuses heavily on her relationships with Whisper and Sonic (who feels guilty for causing the permanent change).

Would love to hear your thoughts! Too dark? Too OP? Interesting concept?

Just real quick and not trying to start fights or anything, just voicing my opinion in a form of a question: Does anyone else think Tangle x Whisper feels... forced?
To me it feels society is indirectly pressuring the IDW writers and Sega, but that's my opinion, not saying their not compatible, they are, and I'd still read the series if they were together, but I think it feels a bit forced.
