Tangled The Series

I often wish they could’ve kept this show going. It’s truly an inspiration watching her go on adventures and solving mysteries. ✨ 🌺

I didn’t think an animated show could inspire me to such adventurous, artistic heights. 💘🌿

What are the best Varian and The Seven Kingdoms fics?

I'm really interested in getting into Varian and The Seven Kingdoms and was introduced to it via Varigo fanart I found, but there's so many fics, I don't know where to start.

I'm looking for fics particularly on AO3 or Wattpad, but I'm open to fics anywhere else as well. I'm also a little partial to Varigo. I can't believe we missed out on a cute, nerdy, neurodivergent-coded romance!

What are the best fics I should read?

S2 Eps 24-25 Destinies Collide Review!

I’m going to start off with my positives here. I’ve mentioned prior many times that the fantastical and magical world of this series is off the beaten path of the film, but it proves to be a colorful and creative piece world building that I am growing to enjoy in its own right. The ancestors ghost battle I thought was a great way of incorporating all of the characters strengths, and it was simultaneously an extension of the absurd magic stuff. Um, about Cassandra. I don’t particularly understand the concept of building up her character over these past two seasons as being a strong wielded partner and friend to the crew, just for her to fully deviate and destroy the build up a mission they had been working to for months. All in the idea she saw a memory of her not being prioritized by her evil mother that she only found out about just days before arriving at the moonstone. It just seems like a weak excuse for the twist, and don’t get me wrong, the twist was definitely a shocking and pretty cool moment, but like, I think the backstory should’ve been stronger than that. What do you guys think? I’m heading now into season 3, (using some of what I learned from the premiere in this review), but I’m sure they will explore this much more as that season progresses. Apologies for the long review, and I appreciate it if you read this far!

New Chapter: Cassandra's Revenge Part 1 (Part 1 of 2)

Hi guys, I know I have been making a bit of posts here, but this is a bit different. Some might have known I have been working on a rewrite of Rapunzel Tangled Adventure on Archive Of Our Own called: Rapunzel Tangled Adventure: Sins of the Parents and the latest chapter is out (it is also a big one):

Cassandra's Revenge Part 1 (Part 1 of 2).

While the chapter sounds the same as the episode, there has been massive changes to its build up. Furthermore, I have been rewriting the story with the attempt of rewriting Cassandra's character. A lot of stuff had happened in the previous chapters so context is necessary. Hopefully you enjoy it and comment about the changes made . I happily accept feedback.

If there is a hook for this story I say: What if we gave Cassandra proper redemption arc?

Course this is still a work in progress but I hope you enjoy.

Frederick being chill with Cassandra

Am I the only one thinking like this but isn't a bit odd that Frederick before Season 3 only has resentment for Cassandra for sneaking Rapunzel out?

I am sure that the Captain and by extension the King knows that Cassandra is adopted and the daughter of Rapunzel's kidnapper (A.K.A Gothel) and Cassandra made it obvious in Season 3 Episode 1 Rapunzel's Return (Part I Of II). Furthermore, if we were to consider the punishment people received from the monarchy in the show/movie (Varian being imprisoned, Lady Caine's father being locked away till his death, Eugene almost getting hanged for stealing the Princess' crown). Then how isn't it odd that Frederick was just absolutely chill with Cassandra being in the castle for 18 years when we can speculate that he knew of her identity of being Gothel's daughter? The same woman that committed the ultimate treason against the crown.

S2 Ep21 Rapunzeltopia Review!

I really liked this episode as well! I think now that I’m so deep into this new world, you kind of stop trying to compare it to the film, and that benefits it here. It was very reminiscent of The Truman Show and I thought that arc of her trying to free herself from a false reality was pretty cool. I also liked the House of Yesterday’s Tomorrow, it was a cool setting for these past few episodes. The ending with Cass having seen something in the house was a decent cliffhanger as well, I’ll be excited to see where that leads in the upcoming episodes.

Rapunzel parallels

Notice how the episode with Monty is an episode about Rapunzel experiencing someone who doesn't like her for the first time and the episode with Calliope is about Rapunzel experiencing not liking SOMEONE ELSE for the first time.

S2 Ep19 Mirror, Mirror Review!

I finally made my way back to the series, apologies for the long gap if any of you were following. I thought this episode was a pretty fun side quest story. I think that it was actually decently scary and had an interesting overall plot. I know it’s a deep cut but it reminded me of this one episode of an old R.L. Stine series called The Haunting Hour, where it was essentially Bloody Mary. I’m glad I made it back to the show, and the community here has been super kind so I appreciate it! I’ll stick to this now and get the show done so there isn’t a big pause in between again😅

Cassandra's Past in TTS

I know this might come as an odd question, but besides what we know in the comics and shows. Has there been any definitive ideas of Cassandra's childhood in the castle? Like we know that Gothel dumped her when she was four but for eighteen years of her life, there isn't much details on it. Are there any ideas of what happened or has it been open to speculation?
