Upcoming Update: Rush Mode Revamp, Legacy Badges, & Finish Your Ongoing Games!

Hey everyone! First of all, a huge thank you to all the players who have been playing the game and sharing your thoughts. I’ve been reading all your comments, especially the recent discussions and suggestions about Rush Mode.

I hear you loud and clear. To ensure the game remains challenging and engaging, I am optimizing the gameplay for Rush Mode. I will be adding a hard cap to the timer in the next update. This optimization will keep the pressure high and make it the thrilling, fast-paced challenge it was originally meant to be. If you love that edge-of-your-seat feeling, you’re going to love this new gameplay!

Because the new mechanics will make scoring significantly harder, it wouldn't be fair to mix the old scores with the new ones. Here is my plan:

  • Fresh Start: I will be launching a brand-new Rush Leaderboard for everyone to compete on evenly.
  • Preserving the Legacy: The old Rush Mode leaderboard will be frozen and archived as "Legacy Rush". Before the update goes live, I will take a final snapshot of the top players and include it in the official [Update] post to immortalize your crazy high scores!
  • Legacy Badges: Your Legacy Rush score will remain permanently in your user flair next to the ⚡ icon. Scores achieved in the new Rush Mode will be represented in your flair by a new 🔥 icon. Both the ⚡ and 🔥 icons will happily co-exist.

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING REGARDING ONGOING GAMES: ⚠️ Due to how Reddit Devvit works, deploying a game update will reset all local browser data. This means any active, unfinished matches will be lost. If you are currently in the middle of a game (especially a long Infinite Mode run), please make sure to finish the match so your score auto-submits before the update hits!

⏰ Update Schedule: The update will go live on Wednesday, May 13th at 9:00 AM UTC (That's 5:00 AM ET / 2:00 AM PT).
