In the last six months, I’ve had to spend close to 70k in repairs. My diesel Altroz needed a full crankshaft replacement after I suddenly got zero clutch response. When I asked why it happened, they just told me may be because of late clutching. I’ve been driving since the last 15 years. A crankshaft usually lasts the life of a car. But yeah faced this with Altroz diesel. Total repair cost was about 36k.

6 months after this, I had persistent engine oil leak. Tata service centre couldn’t really identify the source of the leak. Despite numerous tests according to them. They said it’s an oil seal issue and the oil seal is not available right now so recommended me to drive the car with oil leak for about 1 month till they order the oil seal. Now within that month, my car got overheated, and now I took it to a local mechanic who says there’s a radiator jam and the head gasket needs to be replaced because that’s apparently where the oil is leaking from. My car spurt out engine oil and coolant and lost throttle response/went into limp mode in the middle of the road. And then started with loud knocking sounds. Thankfully the engine didn’t seize but a little sceptical about the head gasket issue. Local mechanics go by their experience and intuition. I don’t think he even has the equipment to do a combustion test.

I loved the car . My only worry its tata service . Does anyone from Tamilnadu own a altroz diesel and how's service been done by them ? ( dindigul & madurai tata showroom )

I’m planning to buy the facelift Tata Altroz Creative MT Petrol and have received a quotation of around ₹8.40 lakh.

I’d appreciate some advice from current Altroz owners or people who have recently bought one:

- Is ₹8.40 lakh a good deal for the Creative MT Petrol?

How is the real-world mileage and overall performance?

Any major issues or things I should be aware of before buying?

- Is this variant worth it, or should I consider another variant/engine at this price?

- How has your ownership experience been so far?

Anyone in Bangalore who owns Altroz Diesel, how convenient is it to drive in the traffic and what about DPF issues?

I am a little squeezed for budget, the only other diesel option I can get is Sonet (second base to mid variant). Am I better off buying an Automatic by stretching or Altroz Diesel would do?

I do believe that the first gen and second gen Altroz are similar, although the new Altroz does have fresher interiors and such.

I wanted to know, what accessories have you bought and installed in your car that has been useful from a utility perspective, and has enhanced overall experience of the cabin, whether for short runs in city or long highway tours?

I own the Altroz 2024 Diesel. When I bought it from someone, it already had UC6 205/55 R16. I am keen on installing the 215/60 R16 tyres. The existing alloy rims on the car support this size. I just wanted to check if there’s any Altroz owner who’s tried this size, to verify if it fits or not. Since I mostly travel on highways, this size will also make the ride a little relaxed, more pliant, and more stable and less “on the heels” on highways.

I am currently trying to purchase a diesel car below 14L on-road. I can maximum stretch it to 15L.
With all the E20 nonsense, I am looking at diesel cars only….also, come on! It is a diesel!

The best choice for me was Tata Altroz.
The typo trim diesel will fit within my budget and yeah, it is a feature loaded car.

But I am little hesitant to buy, because of the story:
Tata cars and their post sale chronicles.

Hence, I wanted to ask the owners themselves here…
What is your experience with Tata Altroz diesel?

I understand there might be some QC issues,
But how annoying were they?
To put it simply,
Did you regret buying a Tata car because of these issues…

I have just booked the Tata Altroz creative s 1.5 diesel mt in dune glow color today.

I negotiated the following:

Total cash discount 20000
Getting dashcam and foglamps for 10000 combined.

Adding everything up with dashcam and fog lamps I’m getting the car on road in around 11lakh

Should i get paid pdi done? Ive booked the car from RUDRA MOTORS PUNE.

About insurance the dealer is not ready to match the acko quote. He is ready to match sbi or hdfc insurance quote. What can i do here?

Please suggest ways to get low interest rates in the loan as well🙏🏼

How much you guys paid for Third service?

Hey guys, need some advice.

I have a 2024 Tata Altroz iCNG. Recently drove through a waterlogged stretch. The water level wasn’t high enough to enter through the doors, so I thought everything was fine.

Later, I noticed that the carpet underneath the floor mats is wet, mainly on the left side.

Left front + rear: quite wet

Right side: slightly wet

The floor mat itself is mostly fine; the carpet underneath is wet

The area near the door is actually dry

Seems like water may have seeped up from underneath the car, rather than coming in through the doors.

Has anyone else faced this with an Altroz, especially after driving through waterlogging?

Any idea where the water could be getting in from — floor plugs, drain points, AC drain, underbody, etc.?

Trying to figure out what to check before I head to the service centre. Would appreciate any suggestions/experiences.
