31F 👋 I teach Secondary school around the Stratford area and I LOVE getting out of London whenever I can.

I’m always driving to national parks, Wales, going hiking, camping or just exploring somewhere new 🥾⛺️🚗

The problem is, most of my friends and family are working during the week when I’m off, and doing these trips solo gets expensive when you’re paying all the fuel yourself 😭

I’m also at a stage in life where I have quite a lot of freedom. No children and not many responsibilities tying me down during the holidays, while some of my teacher friends have families and other commitments.

So I thought… surely there are other London teachers in a similar position?

People who have the same time off, want to get out and do things, and would happily split the fuel and explore together.

That’s genuinely why I started this community.

This is my first time posting here, so I hope I’m not breaking any rules. 

Does anyone follow theashleygreenlee? People have posted about her a few times before, but for some reason she’s not very popular on here. 

For those who don’t know, she's a former teacher who seems to go back and forth between teaching and other careers. She taught for a few years, then announced she was leaving teaching because she'd decided she wanted to become a nurse. She went back to school and tried being an influencer full-time instead. Then a few months later she decided to go back to teaching. I can't remember exactly what her reasoning was, I think she said she realized teaching was her calling? Anyway, after finishing that school year, she quit teaching again to focus on influencing and her jewelry business full-time. I'm guessing she realized that wasn't making enough money because she's kind of been hinting at going back to teaching again. It sort of feels like she's soft launching her return.

She posted last week about meeting a follower while shopping and asked if that’s a sign to go back to teaching. I totally get feeling unsure of what you want to do with your future, but every time she goes back to teaching she makes posts about how students need dedicated teachers who love what they do etc etc. It seems so ungenuine though when she’s the one who doesn’t seem committed to teaching!
