Bangkok after school/weekends teaching market ?

What’s it currently like- is it still pretty easy to find students after school for extra lesson and what is the going pay rate per hour?

Or has AI killed the market

Shoes for class!

So I’m American moving to Thailand in August for work. Job requires “smart” shoes. Assuming it’s what Americans call dress shoes, should I bring my own several pairs considering shoe size being 12-13mens. Will those sizes be difficult to find or overly priced?

Looking for my best options for a certification for teaching in thailand

Hello! I am a 21 year old American female with a BS in environmental science and have 1 year of teaching experience in the states. I am planning on moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand around October of this year and am looking for advice on my TEFL certification. This move is not permanent, but I am looking to stay for just a few years or so. My budget is around $350 USD for a certification but even after all my research I don't feel confident in any of my options. Should I try for a US teaching certification instead? Are the online courses accredited? Is the job placement assistance necessary? Is there better options that I should look into?

Looking for any and all advice! Thanks!

Teachers who've been here 5+ years — be honest: are you saving anything? No judgment, genuinely curious where people land. Also, what are people doing to make an extra income?

The teaching wage on its own never left me much room to save, and the years I actually got ahead were the ones where I had something else ticking over beside it.

I'm curious where everyone else really sits, because this sub swings between "my retirement's sorted" and "hit 30 with nothing in the bank," and I reckon most of us are somewhere in the middle.

What's the side income? Less interested in what's meant to work, more in what actually does for you.

Has anyone ever heard of Educatefirstthailand

Has anyone ever heard of educatefirstthailand ? They seem to be an agency, and they are often confused with Education First. It is difficult to find any information about them on the internet other than on Facebook or TEFL websites. Please share your experiences. Thanks
