JBL4562 Help

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a pair of JBL 4562 cabinets. Each cabinet has one 15” driver for kick/mid and one 1” compression driver for HF.

Right now everything is still connected through old screw terminals.

I want to upgrade them to Speakon connectors, but I’m not sure what the best approach would be. Ideally, I’d also like to have the option to daisy-chain the cabinets in parallel so I can run both cabinets from a single amp channel.

Since each cabinet has two separate drivers on different amp channels, I’m also curious how you guys would wire and pin everything.

Anyone with experience modifying JBL 4562s or anything else that helps?

Kick plugin

Bonjour tout le monde , je produis pas mal de tekno/mental et je suis toujours bloquer sur la même chose , la « bonne » création d’un kick , j’essaye de faire du layering mais le problème est le kick , j’utilise pas mal punchbox mais j’ai l’impression qu’il n’y a pas assez de contrôle dessus , est ce que vous avez des vst à conseiller pour arriver à un bon résultat ? Merci

Any tekno punk out there?

I once saw someone take the song La mort au choix - Bérurier noir and remix it with tekno. I absolutely loved it and am wondering if there exists some tekno punk. (Not techno-punk please)

Closest I found currently is : monde parfait - joey gluten. It's not tekno, but could easily be made into it. Edit : and also Chat noir - saphirelefleur

Update: Electribe 2 feedback loop — finally captured in full quality

I’ve been posting here about my ET2 feedback experiments, and I finally managed to record the output in full quality. It’s exactly as raw and visceral as I’d hoped.

The setup has evolved quite a bit. I'm now running the machine back into itself (headphone out into audio in), but I’ve added a split to the chain. This allows me to inject an external signal—specifically Native American chants—directly into the heart of that feedback loop.

With 13 parts dedicated solely to processing the Audio In, the Electribe has transformed into a living, breathing organism. Every part is used to mangle and modulate the textures of the external signal within the loop, creating a massive, evolving wall of sound.

At this point, I’ve stopped treating the Electribe like a groovebox. It’s a non-linear synthesizer for me now, and capturing this process in high fidelity has changed everything.

Quelle groovebox choisir ?

Yo, je me renseigne depuis quelques mois pour acheter une groovebox mais je trouve des infos et des avis qui partent dans tous les sens. Je suis un peu perdu.
J'aime bien le côté triturer des boutons d’une manière spontané et instinctive.
J’ai envie de me faire kiffer, faut prendre en compte que j’écoute de la tek depuis longtemps mais j'ai pas de notion de musique et que ca peut vite me soûler si c'est long à comprendre mais je suis prete a trail hard si je suis stimulé et niveau budget je suis ouverte à tout.
On me parle bcp de la novation circuit tracks et évidemment des electribe mais j’aimerais avoir d’autres avis.
Je veux bien aussi des conseils de casque pareille je vois pleins de choix différents.
