Most of the time, when I upload videos (usually quite large), either they don’t start uploading at all or they suddenly stop. The only way to fix it is to go into the proxy settings, change any option, and then set it back to what it was. When I do that, the upload continues (until it freezes again and I have to repeat the same process). I don’t have a custom proxy or anything, but that’s the only way to make the uploads start again, changing an option there and switching it back.

EDIT: I use Telegram Desktop on Windows.

Does anyone know why this happens or have any solution?

How to backup telegram chats that are already deleted?

So someone messaged me recently on Telegram, but as soon as I wanted to reply it showed me that the account was deleted and that I can't see the phone number.

How do I contact the unknown person?

I am new to Telegram and message on a Desktop while at work. Without getting into to many specifics, my cellphone at work is the company version and does not allow for downloads of apps such as this. Not allowed to have a personal cell on site. But, I am permitted to use the internet as I wish. Is there a way to avoid the log in QR or code sent to the app to log into the web version?

I have tg account that i don't really use and dont even have a sim for it now. Like an hour ago i got a notification that someone is trying to log in. I ignored that message but then it happened again and i noticed that in "devices" it says theres a session in germany so i terminated it, set up two-step verification and few seconds later account got deleted. Then spam user "joined telegram" with half naked pfp of a woman from google.

I don't really understand how someone did this because i've never used this phone number on any site and none of my friends ever had it.

Thankfully it had no sensitive info but is there a way to restore it without sim but with gmail?

I left telegram groups that had all my study material i don't remember the names of them

I deleted my telegram account .earlier there were a very large number of contacts were showing, but now it has reduced to merely 30 40 contacts. Even if I put the phone number, it shows me that person is not on telegram, but I can see that that same person is on telegram I cross verified it and this is happening for almost 90% of the contacts. It’s happening for me.

Any idea what could be happening? I cleared the cache but still nothing.

I have a sim card that I only use for internet.

The past few days I was getting texts from telegram saying your telegram verification code is x y z.

I ignored it thinking someone was putting my number in by mistake in trying to register an account.

My friend said to me this morning did you make a new TG. I said no why, then they said look.

Sure enough there was my number that I only use for internet with a TG account.

So I attempted to delete said account, went to register again and it said there is 2FA on this account and your only option is to reset it.

Which I selected and it said wait 7 days.

Account name was like keyboard mashing letters. Hhhjjsjsjsj etc. I've read similar stories on here.

Now I have noticed a pattern, I've received these verification texts on burner sims in different phones recently - I didnt care too much about it but the pattern is there.

Phones not connected to wifi. All using mobile data.

There is something seriously funky going on with security in TG.

Have screen shots to show if people are in doubt.

1: does anyone know how to recover their account, I don't want police at my door because some looser can't make money any other way than stealing info

2.Why did telegram even let someone who uses vpn/proxies from new device to login to the account without some confirmation (2fa)... No other service would let it login without my consent because its obvious its not me.

3. why they block the phone number for too many attempts knowing this can be abused by xxx knowing I wont get into my profile, atleast block the login from that computer not all the pcs or something idk..

4. How can I terminate the account before I will have problems because of them?

tried to find telegram mac v12.6 dmg but couldn't. luckily the appstore version is still v12.6. i'd rather not use the appstore version but at least it's working.

does anyone know where to get the telegram mac v12.6 dmg anywhere?
