My questions and thoughts after watching

  1. When/ how did Bree get a recording of Lucy’s confession?

  2. Who told Yale about Stephen bullying/ sharing images of students? After the scene with Stephen getting the call from Yale, it cuts to Wrigley. Was it Wrigley who told?

  3. It seemed like Pippa and Diana were plotting something at the wedding. When Pippa came back from the welcome party, she tells Diana both Lucy and Stephen were there. Was this just a red herring?

I was disappointed to find that season 3 episode 8 was the finale. I felt there were so many unfinished plot points:

  1. Bree and Oliver and the minor - no justice. I guess that is realistic though.

  2. Bree and her mom - not really conclusive, but I guess I don’t remember seeing her mom at the wedding events.

  3. Stephen never getting punished for killing Macy.

  4. I really thought Pippa was going to speak her truth and save Lucy from getting expelled.

  5. Chris never got in trouble for his actions.

  6. We never really saw Lucy’s mom after season 1. I wonder if their relationship improved.

  7. What happened to Lucy post-expelling?

Series Finale

So, I’m super late to the party and not sure if anyone has posted this already. After freshly completing the book, I actually do not like the ending of the series finale like others are saying. I do feel like it was rushed and I’m actually upset, knowing that Lucy won in the end, but they didn’t show it like in the book. She completely won in my opinion and that was it, but in the show, it looks like she’s just as desperate as she always has been, and the only reason why she has an out is because Stephen was done playing. Any thoughts?

Why did Edmund Donovan barely do any press for Max?

A very important supporting role that span multiple seasons

Thomas and Angelo did more press despite being in only one season each and all three being Lucy's love interests.

Stephen and Lucy

Guys!!! I have nobody to vent to about this. But am I the only one who finds it INFURIATING that Stephen is constantly so conniving and manipulative and MEAN yet nobody seems to call him out on it? I’m only on season 2, but the thanksgiving episode sent me over the edge. I feel like Lucy was valid for flipping out. Stephen was poking at her the whole time. Tryingggggg to start drama. And then everyone acted like she was the bad guy? Maybe this is a visceral reaction for me because he is just like my ex… but it bothers me so bad that nobody else seems to notice that HE is the problem…

Just listened to the Alex Cooper Call me Daddy podcast with a Grace and Jackson

I just listened to the podcast by Alex Cooper called call me Daddy and she first interviewed Grace Van Patton in November 2025 and then interviewed Jackson White February 2026. Jackson White interview was just when they ended the show for the third season. It was extremely interesting and they talked about the characters. They portrayed their relationship and other real interesting information. I found it very good. Let me know your thoughts if you heard it.

season 3 ending .

Do you guys think the ending was Lucy’s plan to make him feel like he won bc she knew he would do something like that or was she just dumb …. To leave with him

Reading the book

Hello, Fellow book readers…….

So I am reading the book and God iI hate how Lucy treat her family. I was about to finish book but had to stop from reading further chapters.

Why??

Because Lucy thought meeting Stephens family is more important than Hickory dying.

Oh God these two are worst
In front of Lucy i sort of like Stephen. He would have gone even if just to fake his emotions.

At this point I feel faking is better than what Lucy is doing.

Why would anyone want to be with someone like Lucy?????

Fun idea I had for this summer

So I have a pretty free summer and I plan on re watching this whole show. I am guessing it will take a week or two. What alcoholic drinks and snacks should I have to fit with the theme of the show?

**also I realize the flair is weird, but it forced me to have one even though none of the options fit 🤷‍♀️

The cell phones!

I thought their choice of cell phones was really accurate. I remember at one point it was either Stephen or Bree (one of the "not rich" ones) was using either an older or lower level Blackberry. Then later on, I think I saw Evan with an iPhone while others were still on the Blackberry. The last period show I watched pretty much had everyone switch to iPhones around 2007/2008.

Do you think Lucy’s dad was a narcissist?

Do you think Lucy’s dad was a narcissist and that’s why she puts up with Stephen? As someone who dated a Stephen, they were the most insufferable person I ever met. I don’t know why she puts up with up with him for so long.

Is there any major character (not a minor character) that didn't do anything criminal?

I mean i hardly saw any major character who was completely clean, everybody did something bad in the series to some extent

This show is wild

I binged this show in four days. I just couldn’t stop! It had me hooked from the pilot. It was a wild ride.

Did anyone actually like the finale? As someone who went thru abuse I definitely chuckled like Lucy at the end when I was finally free. Sometimes you just gotta let them think they left you to survive. Diana def had it right there.

The Art of Manipulation

I just finished binge watching the show in four days, and I absolutely loved it. I realized how much I enjoy watching series where characters manipulate each other. Since I’m also reading The Laws of Human Nature, I find myself psychoanalyzing the characters while watching, which makes the experience even more fascinating. 🙂‍↕️
