TCM2 did irreversible damage to Leatherface's image

TCM2 is not a bad movie at all, I love Chop Top, Stretch and Lefty. However, I hate how goofy Leatherface is portrayed in the film. I get that its supposed to be comedic, and OG Leatherface wouldn't fit into TCM2, and TCM2's Leatherface would not fit in to TCM. But man, the og Leatherface is so terrifying and I want to see more of that. I hate that stupid thing Leatherface does throughout TCM2 when he lifts the chainsaw over his head and moves sideways back and forth, it makes me cringe every time 🤦🏻‍♂️

Theory about the Cook

Honestly I just wanted to rant about my theory/head canon for the cook. I believe that the reason he enjoys lording over his brothers and just “can’t take no pleasure in killing” is because at one point he was treated like them. In his younger years it makes a lot of sense that he was one of the families killers and was barked orders at. This is somewhat implied in the game when he’s like “reminds me of the good old days” as well as when he starts to laugh when he’s hurting sally, that’s his younger, sadistic and vile self peeking through, before he had to pull himself up by his bootstraps and take charge of the family. Now this is prolly pretty obvious but idk, I think it’s neat.

Like poor Franklin was worrying for his life after being attacked and injured by a maniac hitchhiker and this mfer is actually out here taunting him! "it's the mark of Zorro, he's gonna getcha!" Will Curry Barker's TCM be the first movie with the Sawyer Family as antagonists in 20 years?

Leatherface (2017) technically had them as antagonists but Leatherface was the protagonist and its not the Sawyer family without Leatherface. From this description though, it sounds like the Sawyers will be back, since "raw and fucked up" more accurately describes the rest of the Sawyer's, while without them Leatherface is just an average slasher. Do you think this means a return to the classic "Group of teens Vs Sawyers" premise?
