Is Cinemasins still popular?

The lack of focus on Cinemasins in the past few months...years, really... makes me wonder...

...is Cinemasins as popular as it used to be?

Or is it no longer popular with anyone except the "remaining" fanbase?

Potential thumbnail for a video I might make

Title might be “No, this movie isn’t based, and neither are you”

Here’s a freebie for Birdman if he wants to do an exposing the grift video on Drinker and his final review of Supergirl

Unsurprisingly Drinker’s video is gritty bullshit, I didn’t watch it directly I watched another YouTuber debunking it. But one thing that really struck me is that Drinker spends most of it complaining Supergirl is obnoxious and selfish and rude.

Ignoring the fact that these are obvious character flaws and things she overcomes over the course of the film it is interesting because it exposes his hypocrisy in one major way.

In a different video Drinker listed how he would “fix” Rey and ironically his idea of “fixing” that character was to make her meaner and colder and much more self serving then have her overcome that by the end. He argued it made her too perfect and it was unrealistic to have her be good natured and kind and that she should have a mean streak.

And yet here when a movie gives us literally that, a grieving woman who is cynical and bitter and selfish at the start and grows into an actual empathetic hero at the end now he complains that she’s unlikeable and it’s bad.

So basically if a woman is good and kind and compassionate that’s bad because she needs flaws. If a woman has flaws like selfishness and anger and pain that’s bad because she’s not likeable enough.

What this clearly demonstrates is that ultimately in Drinker’s world female characters can’t win.

Too nice = Mary Sue

Too flawed = insufferable bitch

The deck is stacked against them, there’s a double standard and he will always change the rules last minute so they can never reach that standard.

And if there’s any doubt about that he also gleefully mocks her appearance and has a bit where he says that her arc makes more sense for a fifty year old man not a 23 year old woman, demonstrating obvious gender bias.

So yeah I assume Birdman is hard at work tearing these guys down, so I’m offering that as a freebie. It really catches his duplicity really openly. In a parallel world where Kara was a goodie two shoes he would be complaining about that.

Really ironic coming from someone who was never going to watch the film with an unbiased mindset in the first place, alongside his bigoted butt buddies
