People who grew up in the 80s

What was it like, how many people smoked, was everyone nicer to each other back then? Idk honestly I wish I could go back to that time period and experience it. My mom did but she and I weren’t really close and she passed away a couple years ago so I never got to really ask her about it. But anyways what were politics like, the Cold War was like , I know the vehicles were built to last kinda (later 80s trucks I still see driving around) what were the fashion choices( are they like every movie now about the 80s?) also Music!!! I absolutely love music so please drop song suggestions down below. Rant over

The real 1980s vs todays media trend.

The real 1980s vs media trend.

Im doing a report for a college class about 80s. Was the 80s actually like the way the media portrays it, or is it just movie magic? I wanna know how accurate was that particular decade or is it just nostalgia and Hollywood makeover.

Thank you!

  1. How accurate is the way the movies and the popular media tends potray the decade?

  2. Was the average day in the 80s actually neon, arcades, synth music, and mall culture or was it mostly nostalgia and movie magic?

  3. In your opinion, what's something that movies always get wrong ?

  4. Whats your favorite memory from that decade?

  5. What part of teens movies were accurate and what parts are not?

  6. Whats the biggest difference of 80s high-school culture vs today's schools.

  7. When you see Ai videos about the daily life in the 80s. Do you feel nostalgia?

  8. If you can choose one particular song that instantly reminds you of your life in the 80s, what song would you choose?

Moms Tupperware parties were always fun. They were more like events. Mom would always be sure to have 3 Tupperware parties at our home, April, July and November. Did your mom have or attend Tupperware parties?
