I'm done with Curseforge

The three reasons below is written by RedstoneWizard, because I'm too lazy to write and edit it myself.

"Firstly, CurseForge's policies against launchers downloading their content are unnecessary and predatory, and effectively only push people to download mods using their proprietary launcher, which lacks support for platforms like Linux."

"Secondly, the revenue paid to creators by CurseForge is hundreds of times lower than the amounts paid out by Modrinth, and their transparency with these analytics leaves much to be desired. My personal experiences along with seeing other creators' statistics confirms this. Their claims of "70%" of ad revenue being given to creators are misleading if true at all, and the level of greed it takes to create this situation at all is simply incredible."

"Third, and finally, the final nail in the coffin - the Subnautica 2 situation. As shown by an announcement in the official Subnautica Modding Discord server, CurseForge has repeatedly attempted to insert itself into the Subnautica 2 modding space as the "platform of choice" for modders. They have gone so far as to attempt to bribe, solicit, and almost harass members of the modding community. Even when told to back down, they have instead focused solely on the monetary benefits of Subnautica 2 being a source of business for their platform."

But luckly- *clears throat* (my turn) -TBS is still on Modrinth and Prism Launcher. I'm not mad, I'm furious because of Curseforge! But soon, I will switch to either Modrinth or Prism Launcher, so wish me good luck figuring out how to move files into a new Minecraft launcher!

Thanks for letting me know about this RedstoneWizard (and also all the other Mods because they also made TBS)

Goodbye for now!

(note: I'm not trying to karma farm right now, I just REALLY wanted to tell you guys who doesn't have discord.)

(another note: I... forgot what I was writing here.)

what is its use?

Recently, I finished this structure in my base, perfectly replicating the structure of the enchanting room from World 2. I was expecting an advancement, a monster, or a trigger. However, I haven't noticed anything new or any event. Does anyone know what it's for?

Could LVL 20 Chara beat the Void entities?

This is something to think about considering both characters are from two different games.

An idea for a NothingIsWatching redesign.

What if, instead of being a useless rectangle--it actually censored something?

Drawn on Pixilart.

Anyone else hope that we'll inevitably lose in the Integrity boss fight?

I've always been someone who's tired of the same old same old. It's a copy paste in almost every single game, movie, book, and/or fictional story to exist, where the "bad guys" never actually end up winning.

They could literally be the god of the universe/existence itself, entirely all-powerful and all-knowing, yet they SOMEHOW won't win. It's way too common, and doesn't make any sense other than to appeal to those who want a sigh of relief that the good guys made it out okay.

Now, I understand we don't exactly have all the lore of the Void entities, but if we focus on how it would realistically go, even with the current knowledge we have now, along with their current powers.. Everyone is doomed. Not to mention the fact that they can come into the real world.

We are all characters in a Minecraft world, completely identical in strength and such, just the same as the clan members. You could have fully enchanted gear and weapons, but all Integrity would truly have to do is snap His fingers.

I could always elaborate even further as to why it wouldn't make sense, but I'm sure that some of you already understand my perspective. I left a comment under a similar post from a few months ago, where someone had similar viewpoints as me. Here is what my comment essentially said:

What I'm hoping happens, is that when we "beat" Integrity, we don't actually beat Him. He might make us think we did for a minute or two, where He's kinda just toying with us during the fight (and at the end of the fight too), but then, eventually, everything will cease according to His whim. Whether because He got bored, fed up with the players resisting, or something else entirely.. The Minecraft world, along with the players (yourself included), will get corrupted. That way, no one is saved.

Integrity doesn't die, the Void takes the victory, and you don't win. The players/souls are never set free, and your Minecraft player inevitably becomes one of them, along with your soul in the real world. Integrity (or another Void being) will kill you in real life, take your soul, and bring it to the Minecraft world. After that, you're kicked from the world, and it is unable to be opened anymore, no matter how much someone tries to delete and/or alter some of the files. It becomes too corrupted to salvage as the minutes go by, to the point where it ceases from the real world's existence. No one is able to attempt to save you anymore, along with all the other souls. Someone will come into the room, see a flickering Minecraft "Connection Terminated" screen, and find your lifeless body (or at least what remains of it) in the room.

Everyone who would dare challenge Integrity, or any of the Void beings for that matter, will eventually belong to the Void for all eternity. Or, if you don't challenge Him, He might simply do it because He wanted to.

Now that.. actually makes sense. Far more intriguing, too.
