The Fire Rises - California Dreamin' will officially be using zero AI generated content in it's production

Hello! I am u/x_TKN(aka Welcome), the lead developer of the upcoming TFR submod, California Dreamin', which will give unique content to the State of California! I am writing this to talk about the role of AI in HOI4's modding scene, and more specifically how it has no place here. While I do understand developers can have their shortcomings, whether it be they are not experienced at coding or making art or anything else like that, that is no excuse to use AI in your mod. To use AI is to admit defeat and to show cowardice, as you could not even muster up the effort to make art, even if its low quality, or even copy paste code from other mods. I have far more respect for HOI4 mods that have poorly made art that was created by a human, than I do for mods that have art generated by AI. If you're unable to make HOI4 mods without using AI, go watch a youtube tutorial on how to mod, so that you can actually learn how to use such skills yourself without having to give up all your individuality to AI. Which is why, on behalf of the developer team, I am announcing that our submod will use Zero AI generated content anywhere in game. Not in coding, not in art, not in writing, not anywhere. All content will be created by humans, and any attempts by other developers to include AI will not be used within the mod. If any of our developers use AI, and attempt to pass it off as their own, they will be removed. We give you this promise, that no matter how poor quality something in our mod is, we would never stoop so low as to use ai.
Thank you for reading through to the end, and we will see you all in Sacramento.
-The TFR:CD team

How it feels to be an actual "Ego and it's own" reader while seeing the kind of insanity Individual Anarchists bring: (The theory will never recover)

And for those of you that claim Striner would be pro-those guys:
"I love men too — not merely individuals, but every one. But I love them with the consciousness of egoism; I love them because love makes me happy, I love because loving is natural to me, because it pleases me. I know no “commandment of love.” I have a fellow-feeling with every feeling being, and their torment torments, their refreshment refreshes me too; I can kill them, not torture them. Per contra, the high-souled, virtuous Philistine prince Rudolph in The Mysteries of Paris, because the wicked provoke his “indignation,” plans their torture. That fellow-feeling proves only that the feeling of those who feel is mine too, my property; in opposition to which the pitiless dealing of the “righteous” man (e.g. against notary Ferrand) is like the unfeelingness of that robber [Procrustes] who cut off or stretched his prisoners’ legs to the measure of his bedstead: Rudolph’s bedstead, which he cuts men to fit, is the concept of the “good.” The for right, virtue, etc., makes people hard-hearted and intolerant. Rudolph does not feel like the notary, but the reverse; he feels that “it serves the rascal right”; that is no fellow-feeling."

(Let’s discuss!) How would different factions of the 2ACW engage in meme culture?

I think we are ALL sick of basic one-note questions that can be answered in a few words being posted here, but, I think there is untapped potential in more dynamic questions, questions that don’t have an objective answer, and which can be discussed from many different angles. What I’m saying is this isn’t just asking a question to farm karma or something that could be answered in Ask-A-Dev, but an opportunity to be creative, and for us to explore the lore and characterization of the mod on a more deep level than what the mod tends to answer directly while having fun and exchanging ideas in the process.

For example, as pictured above, that flag comes from a meme video posted (and presumably made) by a dev about the Boogaloo Boys, and so it’s lead to me coming up with the idea that the Boogaloo Boys would make MLG montages, of the real war footage they capture, as I think that would be disturbingly in character for them.

Loji any% glitchless speedrun 2: Electric Boogaloo

Thanks to relatively recent post by u/Zeranvor, I've got inspired to see how fast can one actually get Loji on Regular difficulty. So... here we are. I've managed to finish Phase 3 by November 13, 2024 and managed to finish the Project Web by September 16, 2025. All without console commands, glitches or any other unintended exploits by the game.

Honestly, while banking enough PP isn't that big of a deal, because La Resistance and the Agency exists (even with the recent nerf you still can field up to 5 agents, each can earn 25 PP every 100-ish days), it's the economy that gotta keep you on your toes. COVID, Oil crash and then Taiwan war fallout do remove quite a lot of GDP earners, and then you're additionally hit with the New Left economic policies that absolutely destroy all the business-oriented economy that China has - and you can't just watch the GDP debt raise due to the massive debuffs it now gives.

In theory, you can speed the stage 3 completion by 2-3 months as I had to wait for the Academic development and the Project Web by an additional month (I forgot to bank 50 more PP for the last decision). It is worth, though, especially with the new Grand Doctrines for the exoskeletons that you can unlock for 1EW to crush the enemies of the USSR with.

The Fire Rises THE ANIME.

Hi everyone!

My name is Nave, and I absolutely love alternate history; it’s my favorite subject, as it encompasses my favorite genres like sci-fi and fantasy.

I’m currently studying Audiovisual Arts (film), and I’ve come up with several ideas for bringing concepts to the screen—whether for cinema or streaming platforms.

The idea I want to share today revolves around this specific mod. It came to me after watching anime like *Akira* and *Cyberpunk*; I found myself wondering: "Does *The Fire Rises* have a cyberpunk or sci-fi atmosphere?"

Of course, the "elephant in the room" is the controversial and extreme nature of the content ☢️.

But thinking about it, turning this mod into an anime would be an excellent idea—it has just as much potential as TNO.

The idea is still in development, but narratively, it would look something like this:

There would be two narrative lines: one "Canon" and one "Multiversal."

- The "Canon" line would cover the canonical events of this timeline.

- The "Multiversal" line, however, strikes me as the most interesting due to the potential for unique story arcs—for example, Atomwaffen unifying America or the emergence of a Eurasian State.

That’s all for now—I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

What do you think would happen to people of Russian descent in Europe in case of a Russian victory in the first European war?

I was thinking about what would happen to some French youtuber in different scenario when that question pop up in my mind when thinking about the guy in picture, a French youtuber of Russian descent called Danill le Russe ( Danill the Russian)

Subreddit feedback (RULE UPDATE SOON)

Hey everyone! I meant to do this a while before, but very soon I'll finally be updating the subreddit rules. As our community has grown (and will continue to grow), the current rules don't suffice. Right they're rather unclear and broad, and enforcement is often random. Most of the changes will be made with what I and the team think is necessary to keep the subreddit clean, but I'd like to hear suggestions from you all for what could be done to improve the sub. Be this additions to rules, some extra features that are present on other subs that should be here, or anything else. Please tell me!

This isn't necessarily me clamping down on stuff but more so making things more clear and transparent. I'd prefer to keep the open and free feeling of sub.

So, please tell me what you think! I will consider every serious suggestion so please share your thoughts here.

Decolonized states you can create in the APLA in a consistent style

You can get decolonized nations by taking the decolonization focus, which you can take if you aren't playing as the jacobins.

I noticed that the nations that can be created through the decolonization focus have wildly different flags, but also some similar ones, so I made them consistent with each other in the Octoberist style.

  1. New African

  2. Chicano

  3. Navajo

  4. Sioux

  5. Texas

  6. Iroquois

  7. Sequoyah

  8. Blackfoot
