I needed to vent about something that has bothered me for yearsss about an episode of the TV show The Game. It’s the episode where Robin Givens infers, no makes a strong inference, basically an accusation (in my TEE TEE voice lol) about Malik liking men. Now if you’re a fan then you already know what episode I’m talking about. Anywho what bothers me about the episode is how does Clay go from being so ready to “put Malik to bed” to then being in this serious committed relationship with this other guy who shows up the next episode. I just don’t understand how he was such a serious boyfriend and/or husband if Clay was just hitting on Malik. Like what if Malik went for it? Is this bad writing because they thought we forgot that quick? Lol or is this like a shady thing towards the gay community showing that they don’t take themselves seriously? I’m not just not understanding.
Do anyone know where I can watch seasons 7-9 for free! Pluto only have seasons 1-6 😭😭

So upon rewatch, I'm currently about to start season 6 and I CANNOT stand Derwin. When it comes to the way he treats the women in his lives (primarily Janae and Melanie) he should really just stay single.

Derwin's immature behavior disgusted me twice:
When Janae asked for his blessing regarding the move to NY and his response was so rash, immature, and rude. Instead of saying, I need time to think about it or better yet, suggest to talk about this another time, he explodes on her! If it wasnt for Melanie, they probably would have gone through the courts!
Melanie has a truth moment and let's him know she's unhappy and she wants to continue being a doctor. She wants fulfillment. How many times throughout this series has Melanie had to put her life/career on the back burner for this man? Instead of appreciating her, he has the audacity to shame her for wanting to be happy. She literally delayed her flight so she could be with him to not only watch the game but be there to celebrate after. She tells him she's going to fly back to MD in a few hours and instead of appreciating what she did, he literally says she did nothing for him.
As one of the main characters, I have never been so irritated by a character.
I’m watching season 1-episode 6 and I really think this is one of the funniest episodes. This is the episode when Jason and Malik are arguing and Melanie and Derwin throw a gathering at their apartment. It’s so funny to me😂
Early Kelly was such a sunbeam to me 😭 she was funny, sweet, goofy and honestly very relatable. I really liked her character because she just had this good energy about her. Even when she was being messy, I could still understand where she was coming from.
Then the BET seasons came and they turned her into a whole reality TV star 😭😭. I was like what happened to Kelly??? The Ballers Wives stuff just did not feel like her to me. The cameras, the attitude, all the extra stuff. I know the divorce changed her and she was going through a lot, but they really took her character in a direction I didn’t like.
And when she came back in Season 7, I was happy because I did miss Kelly, but even then it still wasn’t the same Kelly IMO. And then they put her back with cheap ass Jason 😭 like WHY??? After everything that happened between them, I did not want them back together. I wanted Kelly to come back and actually have her own life instead of going right back to Jason.
I know people change, but I feel like they changed way too much about her. She was still Kelly, but that old bubbly, goofy Kelly was just gone. Early Kelly was one of my favorites and I honestly just wanted that version of her back.
Re-watching the game and I’m where Melanie and Derwin found out Janay is pregnant and Melanie is tweaking every time Derwin mentions Janay and that baby💀 I can’t help but notice that in earlier episodes Melanie has a strained relationship with her mom but rn she is acting just like that lady lol
I’m on season 3 and this relationship got SOOOO toxic 😭 and it changed the both of them for the worst, but especially Melanie. I know the toxicity is what makes the show entertaining but I hate how ugly things got between them!
In a perfect world I think Melanie and Derwin should’ve just stayed broken up. They would’ve done better if they learned from their mistakes and moved on. Melanie could’ve used the opportunity to come to terms with her choices, transferred to John’s Hopkins and chosen a normal healthy guy while Derwin could’ve spiraled a bit, lost himself in the baller lifestyle, have a Christian redemption arc. It’s like getting back together stifled all that potential growth!
I know they end up married with twins at the end but that feels less like a happy ending than them just committing to the choices they made. And I guess that’s how life goes tbh lol
