BET ruined the show (In my opinion)
The first three seasons the CW Season are the top-tier and BET ruined it. On my rewatch I don’t even watch them. But what’s your opinion on the BET seasons of The Game?

That cut was CLEAN on her. Short, sharp, and sitting real right on her face. It gave her that “I’m grown, I’m fine, and don’t play with me today” energy. And in that whole messy Season 3 era? Yeah… it matched the chaos perfectly. She looked like she was handling business even when her life was doing the absolute most.
I was watching this episode today and after Kelly and Melanie was teasing Tasha about her played out hairstyle and she got mad at them, Derwin magically knew about McHottie. Then when Melanie asked her and Kelly if they told Tasha said it didn't matter who told. Tasha definitely told lol
I just rewatched this episode and I STILL don’t understand how Clay was moving with Malik like that.
Malik was clearly not on whatever Clay was trying to hint at. You can literally see he’s already uncomfortable with the whole rumor mess going on around him, and here come Clay acting like there’s some kinda vibe between them.
And what makes it worse is Clay kept pushing it. Like… bro, Malik is not giving you anything. At that point it didn’t even read as flirting — it just felt forced and awkward.
Then you remember Clay got his own situation happening too, so the whole thing was messy from the jump.
And I forgot they had “Bed” by J. Holiday playing during that scene 😭
Then he hits Malik with the “I’m tryna put you to bed” line…
Why would they layer it like THAT?? Who thought that was the move??
Idk, on rewatch it hits way different. That’s definitely one of those scenes that would NOT go down the same way if it aired today.
I’m rewatching the scene from the S3 finale and Tasha Mack was really out here barking like she ran the whole Sabers organization… until Kelly Pitts—sweet Pilates, PTA-meeting Kelly—caught her slipping and knocked her clean into next week at Melanie and Derwin’s wedding.
And why she even admit she was the one who introduced Jason to Camille?? 😭 Well, I was waiting for that.
Kelly found out and it was instantly over. Like Tasha was wrong for that.
Kelly really went pow pow pow and turned the lights out on Tasha 💀
Tasha was all bark until she got decked in the face.
Watching Kelly and Jason tell Brittany they were getting a divorce was honestly sad. You could tell she didn’t really understand what was happening at first.
And before that, I liked when Kelly’s dad finally got Jason together and made him realize Kelly was done with him. Jason really thought Kelly was gonna keep putting up with anything. The way he treated her during that whole storyline used to make me mad sometimes.
Still my favorite storyline from season 3 though.
I just rewatched this episode on Dabl and I’ll always hate how Melanie treated Jerome in the Season 3 finale of The Game. Jerome genuinely loved her, treated her right, and was there for her while she was still hurt over Derwin. Just for her to turn around and admit she never stopped loving Derwin the whole time. Like what was the point of dragging Jerome through that relationship if your heart was still with somebody else?
That scene will always frustrate me because Jerome didn’t deserve that at all. You could really see in that moment that he realized he was never truly first in her life. I know Melanie and Derwin were the main couple, but I’ll never like how Jerome got hurt in the process.

Aka Jason Pitts
Rewatching The Game on Dabl and S2E16 still annoys me.
That part where Melanie sees Derwin at the store on crutches just opens everything right back up. They’re already stuck in that toxic cycle of breaking up, getting back together, jealousy, repeat… and it just blows everything up again.
What makes it worse is they never really let each other go but also keep hurting each other. Jerome was literally telling her she matters and actually treating her right, and she’s still kissing Derwin like nothing happened… it was just messy.
Then she goes to his place kissing all over him like “I thought you were over Derwin?” Like what are we doing here?
And honestly I even felt bad for Janay sometimes because she clearly cared about Derwin too. She literally went out of town and was calling him crying saying she loved and missed him, meanwhile this man was still emotionally stuck on Melanie the whole time. Everybody in that situation was getting hurt.
And they really played In My Mind on top of it too?? Come on.
Anyway that whole era of them was exhausting. Were y’all still rooting for them or already over it?
Rewatching The Game and I still don’t like that haircut Melanie did in Season 2 Episode 15 (The Commitments). And honestly, I wasn’t feeling her look through Season 3 either.
I get what they were trying to do with it — like she’s stressed, going through it, trying to reset her life or whatever — but I just didn’t like it. It changed her whole vibe for me in a way I couldn’t really get behind.
To me it didn’t feel like a glow-up or growth, it just felt like a downgrade in her look and I never really warmed up to it after that.
Just my opinion though.
anybody want to talk character astrology signs with me?
i know that they said on the show that melanie is a scorpio
but i would guess on others and would love to hear what others would guess.
jason - taurus
kelly - i think libra, but maybe a pisces
malik - leo
tasha - strong fire and earth placements
derwin - cancer
others?
this is just the surface level guesses at first glance.
It was the plan of Tasha & Malik to use Malik to make Derwin jealous. Melanie didn't want to take it as far as they did. They though objected when Melanie told Derwin about having climbed in bed with Malik. It had been their idea and they knew it could and would cause locker room issues.
As we all know Melanie stated that she aborted Trey Wiggs baby because she didn’t want to lose Derwin, but it didn’t really make sense that Melanie aborted Trey Wiggs baby just so she wouldn’t lose Derwin when she literally hated Derwin in early season 2. However it would’ve made for sense for Melanie to abort Mc Hottie’s baby in Season 3 when she actually was trying to get back with Derwin.
