36% of football shirts sold are fake. I spent a week investigating the counterfeit economy.
Made a full investigation into the football shirt counterfeit market. Ended up with a 7-min video covering:
- Where fakes come from (China, Turkey, Thailand)
- How the wholesale pipeline actually works
- What tactics counterfeiters have gotten alarmingly good at
- The 2026 World Cup seizures (Hong Kong $20M, Houston $9M, Toronto arrests)
- What enforcement is actually doing
Sources cited include FIFA data, Corsearch UK report, French Customs (via AFP), US CBP press releases, Hong Kong Customs, and Reuters.

Genuinely curious what the collector community thinks about the state of the market right now. Have you spotted fakes in the wild recently? What tactics did they use to fool you?
How do you organize your closet?
I’m currently organizing it by colour but as my collection grows i kinda want to change it up, would organizing by club be better I support arsenal so i have a lot of red, I also like by manufacturer only for the Adidas three stripes look nice in a row.
I just wonder how everyone else likes to organize.
New shirts with old names & and retro shirts with new names - thoughts ?
I’m contemplating a new-ish Tottenham shirt with Ginola 14 on it.
Is it weird? I know it’s intentional and an homage to a classic player but will people think it’s odd?
Best white/silver permanent markers for signatures on dark shirts?
I've tried a sharpie silver one and it came out very light as well as a POSCA paint marker. Any recommendations for one that can be easily purchased in the UK would be appreciated.
