Movie or musical first? (Not reading book at all)

Hi, I read The Outsiders and loved it. My friend isn’t going to read it so don’t ask or say anything about that she should read the book, it’s not happening so don’t waste your time. Anyways, we wanna watch the movie and the musical but I was wondering which we should watch first movie or musical? Keep in mind, the first thing we watch will be her first introduction to The Outsiders.

What do you think everyone's lives would have looked like if nobody had died?

I personally wonder if the court would have been quite so sympathetic to Ponyboy. It's possible he may have gone to a foster home. Johnny might have been found guilty of manslaughter and ended up in a State Hospital because of his physical condition. It's possible, Dally may have walked away, scott free, but worse than before.. Darry may lost custody of Soda also. Two-Bit may have progressed from recreational drinker to full on drunk. Steve would become bitter and violent. The rupture of what remained of the group and the social/ family support it offered would have collapsed.

And Darry? He'd be trying to get his brothers home.

maybe I just have the memory of a gold fish, but I don't remember this

Im new to the fandom, I started the book first or second week of June and finished it at like 3am on the last day of June and watched the movie last night (the night of the last day of June) and I thought Two-bits obsession with Mickey mouse is adorable, but I don't remember that being mentioned in the book, but also I feel like I very vagely remember something Abt it, so I could just be forgetting

I posted looking for a copy of this weeks ago, a couple days back, I saw a copy pop up on eBay for slightly over face value and… I jumped on it! I’m in love with this version, it’s not signed, but that wasn’t the reason I wanted it, so excited to finally have a copy!

Was Dally saying 'Man' a lot scripted or a thing Matt Dillon just did?

I recently rewatched the movie and realized Dally says 'man' after almost every sentence. I don't remember him doing that in the book, so I'm curious about it.

Small Detail I noticed in this scene.

After the scene where Ponyboy says, "I dropped my eggs, dropped my spoon." You can see Steve in the background take a piece of egg off the pan and start eating it. I always assumed he was eating the chocolate cake, but he doesn't reach over to the table and get the chocolate cake until a few seconds later.
