Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater?
I know people can make mistakes. I know people can change. But when someone you deeply love betrays your trust, over and over again, something inside you changes too. Even if they say they’re sorry, even if they promise it will never happen again, the memories stay. The doubts stay. You start questioning everything—their words, their actions, even the moments when they’re simply not around.
I’m trying to understand whether trust can really be rebuilt after cheating, or whether staying only means living with the fear that it will happen again.
For those who have experienced this: Did your partner genuinely change after cheating? Or did they eventually do it again?
I’m not looking for judgment. I just want honest experiences and perspectives because sometimes hearing from strangers who have gone through the same pain helps you see things more clearly. ❤️
I honestly can’t bear the pain anymore. I just need to unload the heaviness in my heart right now because it feels like it’s becoming too much to carry alone.
I keep going back and forth in my mind, trying to make sense of everything, trying to find some kind of peace or answer that will stop this ache.
