Season 1.5 Skin Distribution

Hi friends! In case you missed my last post, here's the same text blurb I attached to that one.

I've been noticing a lot of passionate discussion about skin distribution lately, and have also noticed that there doesn't seem to be a large number of graphics or trackers out there with the numbers, so I decided to start a series of em myself!

My intent is to illustrate which characters get which skins on what date, in what season, whether it be via battle pass, shop, event, Twitch drop or otherwise.

Ideally, I'll be posting one of these at each season's/half season's end, after I post the first 7 seasons in their entirety. If you have ideas or constructive criticism for these feel free to comment! I'd also like to see thoughts on the skins overall for Season 1. Please keep an eye out for the Season 2 post coming sometime soon:)

Fellow Thing Mains, I request advice...

Hello, I am a Groot main spreading my roster out farther, and wanted to come here in my travels to see if there are any tips for learning The Thing. Brawling, while definitely fun, I am not as good with, and so here are some of the things I do know:

I have Hold to Sprint on, so I can tap to slam my arms down.I can jump right before slamming my arms down to reduce the knock up so enemies are easier to hit. I can avoid CC using his sprint. I can charge a Haymaker, and jump to an enemy before it's released so it hits them with the damage vulnerability. My issue I've seen is one, poke, and 2, how to get in close without dying. I am aware Poke might counter Thing, yet for closing distance, I still am learning. With Groot I play cover, with Thing I feel I'm just out of range when playing cover. I haven't gotten to use the Hulk Team-Up yet.

Also sesperate question:

If any of you also play hulk, is there any aiming difference when throwing Wolverine from Hulk to The Thing? Just wanted to know because aside from Hulk Leaping before releasing a Throw, I don't think there is? Could be wrong but thought I'd ask.

Nonetheless, thank you for your time reading this, Incase it helps I play on PC.

Futuristic armies forgetting artillery exists

I hate this trope so much.

At least Jedi have space wizard powers and can deflect blaster bolts. Wakanda is supposed to have shields, aircraft, vibranium, energy weapons, cloaking, absurd infrastructure, and the best military tech on Earth.

Then Infinity War happens and their big defensive plan is to open the barrier and sprint straight at the alien meat grinder with spears.

What are we doing here?

Where is the artillery? Drones? Mines? Turrets? Air support? Bombardment? Trenches? Choke points? Anything that keeps the enemy from getting close enough to bite your face off?

A random 20th century general with a radio and a migraine could have come up with a better defense.

Wakanda fights like a medieval army that got a free trial of laser spears. You cannot keep telling me this is the most advanced country on Earth and then show me their army forming up for a dramatic foot race into the monster horde.

I know it looks cool. I do not care. Their entire military doctrine seems to be “run forward really hard.”

And MCU Wakanda’s foreign policy is just as stupid.

They have world-changing tech, infinite magic metal, force fields, stealth ships, miracle medicine, and centuries of advantage, and their master plan is apparently “hide in the bushes forever.”

A country with that tech gap would become a superpower by accident. Trade, defense, intelligence, space, energy, diplomacy. They should dominate everything just by existing.

That’s why Marvel Rivals and Aliens vs. Avengers making Wakanda an intergalactic empire feels less stupid. That actually follows from the premise.

MCU Wakanda is an advanced civilization written by people who refuse to think about what “advanced civilization” means for more than five seconds.

Can I get some antidive advice?

When ever I try to antidive as thing, I guess my biggest issue is I never know where the dive is. Unless I just stick with support the whole time. But I get kind anxious in that scenario, because in the front, my team is trying to push and needs help, but when ever I do, my healers get dived. Dive players are sneaky and I am sure they wait until I turn my back before they dive for that reason. Sometimes people will ping a spot, but when I get there I never see them because they ran away. Sometimes I try to look around other locations too, but then my healers get dived because the divers were healing somewhere else from where I was looking. To be honest, especially with all the other chaos going on it's a bit hard to keep track of my surroundings too.

So yeah, I can try to guard my healers, but it means I just have to sit there essentially. Leaving my team down a tank in a 5v5 doesn't feel good just to help against a dive dps. Not sure how I can support the frontline and backline at the same time.

I think thing will counter Dino

I really think thing is gonna counter Dino simply because Dino has so much health and thing will shred thru that health and Dino dmg might not do so well against the shield thing gets, just my opinion but I wanna hear y’all’s opinion, either way really excited.

Is there a server or group for just The Thing players? I got full mastery of The Thing a few weeks ago and I'm pretty happy ❤

I hate The Devs - Still no fix for the Tenacity bug?

Seriously, how has the tenacity bug not been addressed yet? It’s making it almost impossible to use his alt properly. You line everything up, commit to the play, and then the bug just eats the value because the interactions are completely broken.

I was really hoping to see a fix—or at least some gameplay tweaks to help counter the issue—in this latest patch, but there’s absolutely nothing. No changes, no mentions, just vibes while one of his core mechanics stays bugged.

It’s exhausting trying to main a character when the devs don't seem to care about game-breaking bugs that have been around this long. Is anyone else finding a way to work around this, or are we just benched until they decide to do their jobs?

They NEED to buff Thing in Season 8

I am so sick of the new tenacity system ruining my ults. Either make some adjustments to the system, or give Thing some sort of compensatory buff. But right now it's just ridiculous. His ult already isn't that good. It's much harder to get a team wipe with it in comparison to something like Strange's ult. Combining it with Yancy street charge used to give it a bit of skill expression. But now it actually punishes you if you do. So stupid. Now I feel lucky if I can get even one kill with it. Please Netease, don't do my rocky boy dirty!
