We Are NOT A Christian Nation
Never once is Jesus Christ or Christianity mentioned in the Declaration of Independence or the US Constitution.
Furthermore, the First Amendment prohibits the government from establishing a national religion or prohibiting the equal recognition / exercise of all religions.
It wasn’t until the mid 50’s that “Under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance and “In God We Trust” was added to US currency.
But like a cancer, Christian Nationalists have clawed and crawled their way into unduly influencing policy and public opinion.
One recent example is the state of Texas now mandating that Biblical stories become mandatory reading in all public schools in the state. Religious texts from any other faith have never been approved for such a requirement anywhere in the USA.
In his 4th of July speech, Trump recently lied when he stated “And as our Declaration of Independence tells us, we are all made in the image of one almighty God. And a Communist will never say that. That’s for sure.”
White Christian Nationalists and Fascists are so afraid of Communism, they will drag us into the mire of a Theocracy much the same way that Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Afghanistan (to name a few) strangle their population in the clutches of Sharia law.
Don’t believe me? Around 10 states have already adopted forced birth, even in cases of rape and incest, going so far as to use legally dead women as incubators for babies.
Pete Hegseth’s religious mentor, Doug Wilson, believes the 19th Amendment should be repealed and that women should not have the right to vote independently of their husbands.
Multiple states fight vehemently against laws that would make the minimum age to marry 18 years old.
“THE CROSS being raised over the city, the region, Symbolically declaring the city, region, state, nation belongs to JESUS.” No “Pastor” Greg Fairrington, this city, region, state, nation DO NOT belong to Jesus. Your tacky drone show does not speak for tens of thousands in Placer County or tens of millions across this Nation.
Christianity can be a beautiful thing when practiced by decent human beings.
However, it was so-called Christians who ran the slave trade for generations.
It was so-called Christians who kidnapped Indigenous children and abused them in residential schools.
It was so-called Christians who burned Black Wall Street to the ground, ran Japanese Concentration Camps on US soil, and turned the MS St. Louis away with 937 Jewish refugees aboard during WWII.
And it was so-called Christians who never held those oppressors, child abusers and murderers to atone for their crimes against humanity.
Selective history is the tool of the coward and the villain. Theocracy is the weapon of evil men seeking power and subjugation.
The United States of America is a SECULAR NATION and has been since its founding.
It is quite literally unAmerican to suggest the US is a “Christian Nation” and millions of actual Patriots will fight to keep it Secular.
