Does anyone else use a dead air wolfman and have to keep rezeroing their rifle because of the point of impact shifting? I'm using it on a smith and wesson 1854 with a direct thread mount in it's long configuration. When I first got it I tightened it down good, verified alignment with a rod and zeroed the scope and red dot. Then about a week later I notice it's not zeroed, so I check that everything is still tight and rezero. The red dot and scope are independent, so both of their zeros shifting the exact amount ruled out the scope or red dot, and I haven't had this issue with this rifle when using a huxwrx rad 9. Today I just noticed it's not zeroed again. Using the same ammo as always. Nothing has been changed except the suppressor is slightly dirtier after a few dozen rounds through it. What could be causing this?

Looking at putting either the new reticle arken 1-8 or a vector 69 continental 2-12 on my 18” Grendel so I can use my dnt 635r in front of it. Budget is kinda tight and I want ffp for ranging hence the Arken. I’d like the magnification of the 2-12 for shooting without the thermal, but not sure how the 2x would do with the 635? What say you guys.

What is the difference between the Thermnight 4k and the regular 225? If I’m reading correctly, they have the same sensors, so is it just a screen upgrade? Would that not be sort of pointless if it’s still a quote on quote low quality sensor?

The Kangaroo by the dam is over 200m away. Most of the other blobs on the hill are wombats or wallabies (which look like blobs even to the naked eye 😂).

For a total entry level thermal ($550), does anyone have anything that performs better than this?
I can return it for 90 days, so I felt like there wasn't much to lose.

This is the infitac fmp13 on my Glock 19 but I’m also currently testing an even more feature rich and cheaper thermal pistol optic and it’s so far a great little optic and fun to plink with atnu
The last gen DNT ThermNight has an excellent Night Vision but a sub par thermal in the TN225R and TN335R, though the TN635R was pretty good, I still felt like the OneLeaf and PARD had better thermals in the same price range.
Wondering if this will improve on the thermals any? DNT LRF and BC are freaking excellent, thermal imaging was really the only problem that I saw unless we dropped $3100 on the TN635R.
Unfortunately this looks like a 4k Night vision upgrade with the same 256 pixel thermal. (sigh) Guess that I am still on the fence with a DNT vs other thermal?
Tinkered around with my riflescope - nmapping it, reversing the Android app and Vibecoding a bit. Proof of concept for atuomatic pan, object recognition and alerting through Signal using a raspberry Pi and a stepper motor. Also controlled with PS5 remote - Just waiting for a new controller for the stepper motor and maybe I can take it for a field test..
Some nights I use this Goyojo GRS225RF from about 11 pm until 6 am for raccoons, and the internal battery lasts a decent amount of time even when using the rangefinder and wifi, but sometimes I have to replace the supplemental cr123. I wanted a usb c rechargeable external battery that would last all night and I can remove to recharge. This 5000 mah battery and mlok flashlight mount from amazon seems to be the perfect solution so far. Only about 32 dollars.
Also, this gng2k night vision monocular has been great for quickly distinguishing between raccoons and opossums when they're in the tall grass or corn.

Hi all - looking to jump into a thermal for hunting. I am in the midwest, most of my shots would be at or under 150 yards (largely under 100 yards). I am running an AR10 with a 1-8 scope (Trijicon VCOG). I have seen a few options at around the $2,000 price point. Wondering if there are some thermal optics I should consider. I'd like to clip on and view through the Trijicon because I do not want to remove the optic. I have seen in this price point the following:
AGM Rattler-C V2 384
InfiRay RL25v2
DNT Hydra 335
DNT Hydra 640
The base mag on these vary from 1x, to 1.5x, and 2x. Anything else I should consider - any options above stand out as a great option? Much appreciated.

Used the cv25 last year on this custom .223 with a nx8 1-8. Im going to use a 22 creed with the nx6 2-12 and the mate ultra this coming season.
