New frame wobbling and creaking

Put together new classic frame last week that keeps making creaking noise every time we get into the bed. Also happens when partner moves in the middle of the night. We tried many remedies to solve but looks like frame has been wobbling even after switching legs to different positions. Is this normal for this style of bed frame? I appreciate everyone’s suggestions. Thanks

Thuma's Bedframe doesn't fit my Tempurpedic adjustable base

We have a Thuma California King bed frame and recently bought a Tempur-Pedic Ergo Smart Split Cal King adjustable base (two Twin XL bases). Originally we planned on using two Tempurpedic Twin XL mattresses, but decided to use a single California King mattress instead. Unfortunately, the split bases are ours now and can't be returned.

The problem is that the adjustable bases won't sit flush inside the Thuma frame (Although was told many times by Mattress firm and online reviews that it would). The interior corner joinery/wood blocks on the Thuma legs prevent the bases from dropping all the way down, so they end up resting on those blocks instead. This raises the adjustable base (and mattress) about two inch higher than intended. Sitting on the edge of the mattress and my feet dont even touch the floor (I'm 5'8").

Has anyone run into this with a Thuma and an adjustable base? Is there a workaround that doesn't involve modifying the bed frame? I'd love to keep the Thuma if possible, but I'm hoping there's a solution I'm overlooking.

I've attached photos showing where the bases are contacting the corner blocks.

She’s here!

In March, I had to vacate my condo unit due to extensive water and smoke damage caused by a fire in my neighbor’s unit. It’s been a crappy four months of being displaced while repairs took place, but getting to upgrade a few things via insurance has been a small silver lining.

I found Thuma when searching for a bed frame tested for heavier weight - it’s amazing how many frames on the market list something like 400-600 lbs. I’m a petite person, but when thinking about the weight of a person, mattress, etc… my little dogs like to sleep under the bed and while I never had issues with my old Wayfair bed frame, I guess I got paranoid thinking about that more and wanted to find something genuinely solid.

My queen frame and headboard in walnut arrived today. The wood is absolutely gorgeous and everything was SO easy to put together.

Really happy with the purchase!

Note: those aren’t scratches on the wood in the joint photo; just wool fibers from the area rug.

My shipping/delivery experience (SoCal)

Hi! If anyone else has any purchase anxiety like I do, wanted to share my experience in case it's helpful as a more recent data point.

I ordered on a Friday evening - a queen Classic bed, 2 nightstands, and sets of legs for the nightstands. Everything said it was in-stock and would be shipped within 1-3 business days.

On Tuesday afternoon, I got a 'shipment is packed and ready to go' email with tracking information. They used SEKO Logistics for my order and I saw the package was coming from Riverside, CA (about 1-2 hours away from my house).

It was delivered by the morning on Wednesday; SEKO provided very accurate time stamps of when things were out for delivery and when the delivery driver arrived on-site. We left a note asking them to place the items in the garage since we weren't home (remotely opened the garage) and they were kind enough to do that!

I am really astounded at how fast this was, but based off of my lurking, it seems like we got lucky that they just restocked the items we wanted and we probably live near a port/warehouse.

Alternative Solid Wood Nightstand to match Oak Thuma Bed?

I would like to get a nightstand to go with our recent purchase of a Thuma bed in Oak. We are very happy with the bed but I'm not sure I love the nightstand and it is pretty pricey and I keep seeing quality issues. Has anyone found a good alternative that would closely mathc the oak? I've only seen people post matches for the walknut.

Thuma going downhill

I spent around 10k purchasing multiple furniture from Thuma and I've been happy until recently.

Shippments are constantly getting delayed (still waiting on the sofa for 2 months & 3 months for a cushion) and it's very difficult to reach customer support.

I see they are constantly adding new products, but how they are scaling the business is questionable.

Anyone file a chargeback?

Ordered a nightstand to go along with our bed and the nightstand isn’t remotely the correct color/stain.

Contacted Thuma and they agreed that the color difference was too stark and offered to replace the nightstand from new inventory that was going to arrive at the end of May.

Reached out two weeks ago to see if there is an update and first response from them was there isn’t a record of a replacement order at all. When I asked them to scroll up in the email thread to where one of their representatives clearly offers a replacement back in the first week of May, I’m told my case will be escalated.

Still haven’t heard anything and at this point I think I have to do a chargeback, but what reason do I give? I did receive a nightstand, so Thuma can just say they fulfilled the order. I ask because some time ago I received an item I ordered online that arrived broken, filed a dispute and the bank sided with the seller because the item was delivered.

Is one dispute reason more effective than another?

Delayed order and massive change in leadtime

Just noting that I found a recent order experience pretty bad. We had settled on a bed frame from thuma because it seemed decent and they quoted 3-5 days shipping. We ordered and then no shipment notice. The website then started showing 3-4 weeks (and eventually got worse before it got better). We were gaslit by thuma stating they were meeting their quoted leadtime.

It's really unfortunate they can't just admit they have issues managing inventory and lead times. Clearly we're not ordering from them again.

Horrible experience with Thuma desk

I am posting this because dealing with this company makes me feel like I am taking crazy pills.

I ordered two Thuma desks a couple of months ago. One arrived in perfect condition while the other had a crack in the top piece. I thought "no worries, things happen" and contacted support. It was several days to hear back and they sent me a new desktop. All good, right?

Wrong, they sent me another damaged desktop. When I told them, they obviously shipped another desktop which would surely take care of this issue - wrong! They shipped four desktops in a row. At this point I am exhausted from dealing with them and the only options they are offering are a small discount (~20% of the purchase price meaning I would pay $750 for a damaged desk) or to continue to ship desktops until I get one that isn't damaged.

Every time you reach out to customer support they are super slow to respond. Additionally, they have now:

  1. Not posted my review of the desk (you can see there are two five star reviews posted but my 1 star review has not posted.

  2. Deleted my comments on Instagram about our experience.

This shows that their main way of handling customer experience is to delete and suppress rather than address issues.

Central Leg

Anyone have an extra central support and leg in espresso? I’ve contacted warranty and they refuse to send another or let me purchase it for my bed.
