The captain is the only boots that don’t bother my feet, I have a grown on the bottom on my foot due to an injury. I can’t handle boots with arch support
I just got these and this is how the soles look after wearing them once. I walked around downtown for several hours. Do they look unusually worn down already or is this level of wear normal?
I wore my boots about 10 times. It started break in for sure making folds and creases according to my feet shapes. I did not like the lighter “tan” color over all. So I decided to put wax on my boots and used Dr. Marten’s Balsam Wonder on it.
Leather goes from matte/suede texture to semi-gloss look as you can see in the before/after pic above. I wanted more protection against water splashes and scuffs too so I think it will work out better.
Well guys, I tried to make them work. Love the boots, but the width is very unforgiving. I have both Amber Wheat and Old English in 11.5D worn less than 3 times on both. 320 for both shipped. You won’t find a deal line this anywhere!!!!!
Worn maybe 4 times a week , they've gotten so much "character" (don't want to use the P word lol)
I've only wiped them with a damp microfiber and horsehair brush once in a while, but obligatory if I was in a "sandy" locale like my backyard or the dog park
Heck I even got a ketchup splash on my left boot, but I acted almost immediately by removing the excess with paper towel and water ( I unironically wet both boots with water so they'd look "the same" - though only one boot got ketchup... but it just looks good, the ketchup didn't penetrate the leather as much as I thought it would) I dried it by blotching/spotting and not rubbing the paper towel, then I horsehair brushed the to get the paper towel residue off)
Thoughts? And, if you can, show me how your boots are aging!
Just received the Court style leather shoe and I went with the standard width because I didn’t realize they offered wide sizes, just not in this style.
As expected, they are a bit tight. I can make the top of my foot fit ok where the laces are (as you can see they are massively expanded compared to how they’re advertised) but it starts getting tight around where my toes are and I don’t think there’s any way of fixing that with these shoes. Will they expand through the whole shoe over time? Is it even worth doing that? I don’t want to destroy the integrity of the shoe.
My question is, how do the wides compare to the standard widths in general? A lot of brands do it differently in my experience. I live in Boston so there are no stores for me to try in person. I’m not even sure if there are any retailers that sell Thursday products.
I’m not a big shoe person so just trying to figure out how to navigate shoes that arent just 24/7 tennis shoes and deciding what’s worth dealing with or not.
Second wear with my new Challengers in Shinki Shell Cordovan...got caught in a light drizzle that I had to walk through for probably 30 or so minutes.
Got back to my hotel room doing some brushing and noticed what looks to my untrained eye like the top layer/dye layer flaking off. It's not raised to the touch, but the naked spot there is from my finger nail testing the finish, the splotchy area is there on its own.
Is shell cordovan supposed to do this?
Any help on fixing this would be appreciated.

I picked these up second hand, barely used. From what I've read, this could be caused by heat - I'm wondering what I could do to remedy the stretch? I'm not expecting anything from customer service as I don't have the original receipt
Also, is there any way I can work out what the colour is? Any serial number to look up? These are numbered 2910 11234
