Is what I circled in red normal?

So I got two pairs of Captains between April 22 and 26, Matte Black Stormkings and Arizona Adobe, both Kingmaker Last in 13W(EE). I love them!

I know creasing is normal, it's how leather behaves, my Clark's Bushacre 3s and my old Dingo Rev Up Harness boots crease too.

I know what I circled in green is 100% normal, but what about what I circled in red?

I don't wear these boots every day and let them rest for at least a day or two.

Advice for product to change the color of the leather

I bought these boots in 2021, and I've only walked about 10 miles in them. I really don't like using them because the color difference bothers me a lot. I paid full price for them, they're not seconds. I'm trying to find the best way to fix them so they're the same matching color. Any ideas?

Sizing advice - Captain

Hi all, I'm in the Netherlands and about to pull the trigger on my first pair of Captains in Brandy. My main concern is sizing since international returns are a hassle and I want to get it right first try.

My heel-to-toe measurement is 25.5 cm. I wear US 8 in Nike Dunks, ON Cloudtilts, and Adidas NMDs. The one exception is Nike AF1s where US 8 felt too roomy and I sized down to 7.5. However, AF1s do mention in their site to size down as they run large.

Does this mean I should go US 7.5 in the Captain? Or is the AF1 an anomaly and I should stick with my usual US 8? I've seen some people suggest Thursday runs slightly long but would love to hear from anyone with a similar foot length or sneaker size. Thanks in advance!

Anyone experience this with Encore sneakers?

I've worn them about 5 times now. They're very comfortable except this area where my bone is at the upper side of my big toe.

What do you think it is? Size issue? They seem to fit fine... Laces too loose or tight?

Zipper fail on Moto. Too old to warranty and Thursday customer service could not provide replacement Rubi zippers…I’m still pissed. It cost me $60 for cobbler replacement both zippers.

Did I receive a used/returned pair, or is this normal for Thursday Boots?

I recently ordered a new pair of Thursday Boots at full price, but when they arrived I noticed multiple issues: visible scuffs and discoloration on the upper, marks around the welt/stitching, outsole residue, and a heavily damaged/scuffed box.

I understand leather boots can have natural variation and small imperfections, but this looks more like a returned/handled/pre-owned pair than a brand-new one to me. I contacted Thursday support with photos but haven’t received a response yet.

For people who have bought Thursday Boots before: would you consider this acceptable for a new pair, or should I push for a replacement / price adjustment?

Tobacco for business casual?

I’m looking at getting either a pair of President or Cadet boots and I love the color of the Tobacco leather. They’d be worn with olive pants and other warm tones. Would it be suitable for business casual or does it develop a rugged look like a work boot? I’ve seen some posts on here where the tobacco leather develops a rough patina (which is nice, don’t get me wrong) just not sure I’d want that for a boot or shoe I’ll be wearing in an office. Are they easy to keep looking new?

between sizes on a chelsea

Can anyone help me figure good boot sizes?

I'm 10.5 in sneaker. I tried 10s and they were a struggle to get on, my heel was being painfully pinched, and they were tight across the top. I swapped for a 10.5--comfortable to get on, comfortable in the rest of the foot, but I'm getting heel lift.

Should I size down and stretch? Should I be putting pads in the back of the boot to tighten it? Should I give up on this kind of boot?

Never had chelseas, so I would love experienced fit input.

My new CF Stead Stone Rambler Challenger boots

Just received these today. Straight out of the box and photo time. Thought I would share them with ya'll. As well as give a couple of initial thoughts.
These are the first Rambler leather boots I've owned and no doubt will need some break in time. Out of the box they fit incredibly well. For those wondering, I own a pair of Captains in size 10.5D but went with Thursday's recommendation of going down a 1/2 size with these Challengers and got them in a 10D. Thanks for that recommendation Thursday, you were spot on! One other thing, thank goodness they come with pull up straps otherwise they would be a challenge getting on.

This CF Stead Rambler leather is crazy. It's a very unique looking leather but also has a different smell to it. Not a bad smell...just different than that classic leather smell. They also came with 2 additional sets of laces. A very nice leather lace and a quality Kevlar woven lace. I believe they are a duplicate of what comes already laced on the boot. Finally got my Thursday boots delivered… on a Thursday

Pulled the trigger on the Tobacco StormKings and first impressions are solid. The leather looks way better in person than in the online pics.

For sizing reference: I’m usually a US 8 in sneakers (Nike Air Force 1 for reference) and followed Thursday’s recommendation to go half size down 7.5
Glad I trusted it because the fit feels pretty much perfect out of the box.

This is my first leather boots and I’m waiting for the break-in, but so far I’m impressed. The Tobacco leather looks even better in person, and not gonna lie… the smell of fresh leather is elite.

For those who’ve had Tobacco StormKings for a while — how has the leather aged? Any care tips for the Rugged & Resilient leather, or should I just let them do their thing?

Waxed Trucker Jacket

Hi there 

I hope everybody’s doing well.

I making this post because I have the hardest time finding any review for the Waxed Trucker Jacket outside of the official website (not to be confused with the Waxed Canvas Field Jacket).

What makes me interested in this jacket, other than how it looks, is the fact that it’s heavyweight (14oz as opposed to the Field Jacket’s 10oz). It’s actually on par with Filson’s Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser. It’s probably not as durable and heavily waxed (which is good, the SLC smells like it was actually soaked in gasoline), but I’m okay with that as I won’t use it for work. Thursday’s jacket seems to have a more athletic cut and is a little bit longer than the SLC, and I feel like that might suit me better (I have a slim build).

I don’t live in the US, so I don’t have free exchanges and because the jacket isn’t cheap, I’d like to know if anyone has experience with Thursday’s Waxed Trucker Jacket before I buy it. Does anyone know how durable it is and how it compares to other similar jackets ?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)
