After a few too many freedom beverages on the 4th of July, I ordered the Tisas ASF 1911 (Remington Rand “clone”) and a 4” SA-35. The ASF will be getting a long pull trigger and flat mainspring housing, as I’ve learned that is what my hand likes more. Very excited to try the new additions!

New 1911 government model. In the grooves the metal is colored like bronze or copper. Is that normal? Please tell me that's not rust.

100% reliable and accurate

The threading on my thread posts for the RMR plate were tore out when I went shooting last and I cannot find a replacement aftermarket or even factory plate. I emailed Tisas and they even said they can’t help at the moment since they are going through a website change.

I’ve torn the room apart trying to find where the plug landed. I can’t find it anywhere 🤦🏻‍♂️. Where is the best place to buy/order a replacement?

Just picked up a Duty 9 Ds FF for $600 plus tax at a local pawn shop. I saw that is was the v2 version of BR9 which I saw a couple months ago ago going for around $750. Was it a steal?? With the BR9 I liked the optic being RMSc since the irons would stay and no plate was needed, but for this version it has an included RMR mounting plate with irons on it. Just interested how you guys that own this version like it and which optics you’re running. I was thinking about going with a holosun or Osight for that less than $250 range, but any other recommendations are appreciated. Also if anyone has an installation video I can reference that’ll be great.

Hello i have a Carry 9 DS and was looking for confirmation on an optic i have a sig Romeo zero as of now and it’s scratched and dim so I’m looking for a new optic I have been reading and some forums/websites say these will fit the HS/K pattern as from what i can see is just a different form of rmsc and then some don’t so i was just wondering if anyone has a k footprint optic on there’s or if thats even worth it and instead just get a plate for rmr footprint if that is even a thing? Any help with this topic would be appreciated.

I upgraded my trigger with a Wilson Combat Trigger. Pretty simple. Love the adjustment screw.

I made kydex holsters for over 7 years and made the tough decision to shut the business down during Covid. After some time away and also some time dabbling in leather, I’ve decided to get back into it.

A few more tweaks and this holster style will be ready to go!

This holster is made from scratch. I downloaded the 3D scan and built the mold in CAD, 3D printed the mold and built a vacuum forming table to bring my methods up to modern times.

It’s been a really fun challenge to take something I once did and learn how to do it better with updated technology!

My grandmother's underwear locks up tighter than this Tisas. This isn't a 2011, it's a maraca.
