My girlfriend was sexually assaulted at Coda on Sat July 4th

Last night, my girlfriend and I attended Coda after the &Me and Adam Port show.

She was wearing a skirt, and we were dancing on the left side of the dance floor near the main stage. Around the time Adam Port finished his guest appearance, a noticeably taller man walked past her and reached up her skirt as he quickly disappeared into the crowd.

It happened so fast that neither of us fully processed what had happened until he was already gone, and we weren’t able to identify him.

Looking back, I keep wishing I’d done more. In the moment, my only priority was getting her out of there and home safely.

I’m not sure anything can come of this now, but I wanted to share it so others stay aware. If you’re at these events, please look out for your friends and the people around you. If you see something that doesn’t look right, step in if it’s safe to do so or alert security immediately.

No one should have to experience something like this just for going out to enjoy music.

What's everyones expectations for Black Coffee's set today?

I see that it'll only be Black Coffee playing the entire set from 3pm-11pm. I'm unsure what time to go since it'll be a long day with that many hours standing.
Are you guys planning on being there from beginning to end or does it start slow and pick up throughout the later afternoon?
I've never been to any of his shows so im not sure what to expect.

Adam Port &ME at Woodbine Park

If you went, what did you think? I thought it was pretty good sound throughout and I liked the progression. They played some bangers, the crowd was into it.

Techno Events This Friday.

Hey all,

I haven't been out to an Event in a couple of months, was wondering what the word was for Techno events this Friday, I see a lot of Events on RA for a lot of hardstyle/hardcore techno events, but was wondering if any venues or collectives are hosting any classic techno/peak-time/driving techno events this Friday/today.

Cheers. 🍺

Anyone going to Jacques Greene, DJ EEEEEE and Leevisa at Standard Time, Toronto tomorrow?

I’m wondering what’s the demographic I’m 24 and new to raves and hoping to make some friends. Is the venue cool? Never been

HARM REDUCTION: Lots of Puke at Electric Island. Do People need to be more Careful, or are they dumb and Overdoing things?

I've been attending open-air festivals for several years, including big ones like VELD, and UMF and EDC in Miami and Las Vegas, respectively, both with hotter temperatures than Toronto- literally scorching hot- so I find it hard to believe the sun and hot weather are major contributing factors. I've been to half a dozen Electric Islands and 3 VELDs (which happens in August with hotter weather) and never seen anything like this. Electric Island on June 27 was the first time in my life I saw 5 people puking near me, in different spots at different times inside the festival, even at night when it was no longer hot. That was too much of a coincidence.

Sorry to trigger the plugs and "fans" who are downvoting every single one of my comments and getting into a ludicrous debate about whether Toronto is as hot as Miami or Las Vegas, to distract attention from real causes. Someone who insulted me in this thread reposted this to the drugscirclejerk subreddit, saying that if you haven't puked at a party you're not a raver, then adding here that "puking at parties is a fact of life," SMH.

MORE FESTIVALS ARE COMING, SO HERE ARE HARM REDUCTION MEASURES TO STAY SAFE:

August Electric Island will NOT be at Fort York / The Bentway....

Just checked to see what the event lineup is looking like at Fort York to see if there was any hint of EI potentially being there... instead it seems like that dream is dead.

Odds of Woodbine Park again just skyrocketed, looking like we'll be back to a 10pm cutoff 😭

What venue is most likely for Electric Island in August?

Any intel on where EI is going to be for August? That Portlands lot was brutal and I was covered in a layer of filth by the end of it... What are the chances they do Bentway or Woodbine Park instead?
