You’re Not a Bodmon.You’re Just Failing

A lot of you are about to start school again. Some of you just landed a new job, started a trade, or finally got an opportunity you’ve been waiting on. Don’t overcomplicate it, show up, stay consistent, and handle your business.

It’s not cool to skip class and fail. You’re not a bodmon because you disrespected your teacher. Nobody thinks you’re certified because you smoked loud before a 9 a.m. lecture and spent the whole class fighting for your life. Brother, you’re not “moving dangerous” you’re behind on three assignments.

Cut out that “product of my environment” excuse. Yes, plenty of us grew up in rough housing, crowded homes, broke households, unstable situations, and neighbourhoods where the odds weren’t exactly showing us love. That struggle is real, but it doesn’t have to become your identity or your destiny.

Your environment can explain where you started. It does not get to decide where you finish.

Beat the odds, don’t beat your meat.

Chase the degree, not the baddie who leaves you on delivered.

Run up your grades before you run up your Snap score.

Your professor is not an “opp” because they reminded you about the deadline.

Stop saying “we outside” when your GPA is underground.

You don’t need another link, you need LinkedIn.

You don’t need to spin the block, you need to study the chapter.

The only drills you need are practice questions.

Make your mother proud. Make your younger siblings look at you differently. Become the example you wish you had growing up.

A year of discipline can change the direction of your entire life. Go to class. Show up to work on time. Ask questions. Take the extra shift. Learn the skill. Save your money. Stay away from people committed to going nowhere.

You are not too cool to care about your future.

Lock the fuck in, twin. Toronto has enough wasteyutes. We need more winners.
