Heavy sigh…

Heavy sigh…

After many conversations with customer support about my data…it was briefly working for all of 2 days just for it to be cut off again. For context I paid my phone bill on June 12th at 9AM and my services weren’t restored until June 29th at 9PM, I couldn’t use any cellular data, could barely text outside of WiFi, no internet, nor gps just for it to cut back out at 10PM tonight. I feel robbed, I paid for a service I never fully got…

mmWave is throttled.

It’s funny total wireless says no throttling which I don’t think they do on C band 5G, but mmWave they definitely do. It’s throttled to about 1500 megs per second. Not a big deal but just an observation. You’ll see the speed test jump to 2k and then slowly dip down.

Lost Discount After Compromised Online Account

Looking for some help or guidance.

My online TW account was compromised last week. Someone logged in and changed the address on my account, then ordered a brand new iPhone using my saved credit card. Luckily my bank caught it and sent me a fraud alert. I called TW support right away. We cancelled the order, changed the info back to mine, and changed the password.

The issue now is that because this person placed an order for a new phone, my plan was changed and I lost the discount I had. My plan was the $30 BYOD plan with Disney Plus from last year. TW Support says it's not possible to get my original plan and discount back. They even opened a ticket with a special back-end team and the ticket was never updated.

What can I do to get my old plan and discount back? Thank you in advance for any help!

RCS Messaging/Texts not working on new BYOD S25FE (2 weeks now)

I'm on the older 50% off BYOD 5G+ plan. I previously had a Moto G Power 2024, but bought a new Galaxy S25FE on 6-18-2026. After some bumps in the road I finally got everything transferred over to the new phone, and service working correctly... EXCEPT RCS texts/messaging. Prior to transferring data from my Moto phone, I discabled RCS on that phone to (hopefully) make the transfer easier, as I've run into the RCS troubles in the past when changing/upgrading phones and learned a long time ago to disable before changing phones.

I've contacted support twice. The first time, they did some basic troubleshooting that took about 10 mins, then told me to contact Google support, which I did, and of course, as you can see from the screenshots, the issue is clearly not with Google, it's a carrier problem. After contacting Google, I contacted TW again, (about 4-5 days ago) and an internal escalation was supposedly done to resolve the problem. Needless to say it's still not solved.

I also went to Google's "Disable Chat" page in an attempt to forcibly un-register my phone number from the RCS servers in an attempt to resolve this issue, but it's still persistant.

Can someone please help me get this issue resolved?

Ok. Phones aren’t working again.

Exactly 1 month ago, all 3 of my phones stopped working. Our plan is total max 5g. Today, 2 of 3 phones stopped working.
I looked at the autopay receipt I was emailed a few days ago….. that ain’t right. 3 phones should be $95…. Not 80 and some change….

I’ll double check my CC in the morning.

What the hell is happening? I certainly don’t wanna call in every month. Someone last month suggested manually putting money in my account to avoid auto-pay..

Total Wireless website now supports passkeys (6/28) / Still cannot remove inactive devices

Credit where credit is due, the web team at Total appears to still be working on new features for the site. It has started prompting me to create a passkey. I've never had this option on Total before.

The bad:

It is still impossible to remove inactive devices from your account. This functionality remains broken. Starting to think the web team has this flagged as the very last item on their ToDo list. :P

Porting number to new Phone CHAOS

Simple as that, I purchased a new phone and wanted to port my number to it.

Called into customer service and the first Rep sounded sketchy, told me the line would disconnect and I would then have to restart the new phone and it would be done.

However the line NEVER disconnected after 10 minutes on hold with her. She said give it more time and if it didn't switch in 10 more minutes to call back.

Called back and another Rep picked up, I told them the saga and she looks into and basically tell me my number is stuck between two systems. Happily offered to give me another Number!!! Which I declined! If I wanted to keep my number she would have to escalate a ticket but it would take 3-4 days to resolve.

Spent 45 minutes on the phone with her, mostly on hold while she entered all the info then... CLICK disconnected!!!

Called back a third time! Got another Rep and explained the situation. He says the ticket with the information was there but it would take 1-2 hours to resolve!! (The other rep said 3-4 days! Third rep says 1-2 hours WTF)

He did say he would call me back in an hour to finish the port...

So now I'm sitting here with 40 more minutes (at least) to go, praying I don't lose my number! I also can no longer see any lines on my TW account just billing info.

Starting to get super frustrated.

I have the 2024 BYOD plan with 2 lines, can I add more for the same rate?

So I have the 2024 BYOD plan with the $55/mo plan discounted to just $15/mo per line with 2 lines, so a total bill of $30/mo. I recently had to activate a new sim for one of the lines and asked CS at the time if I can add more lines for the same price, and they said yes after checking something for a moment, but I'm just wondering if anyone has confirmation of this working.

So, anyone else have done this where they add a line and a) keep the current discount and b) the new line has the same discount? Was it an easy process to add lines, with or without porting in numbers?

Wifi calling

Hi all.
I recently ported into total wireless from metro by T-Mobile. I have an iPhone 15 pro. I cannot seem to use WiFi calling feature on total wireless. I called total wireless and was not able to get an answer. I was told it just cannot be done after spending time troubleshooting with them. Does anyone have this issue? Has anyone been able to use the WiFi calling feature?

Total Wireless website updates (6/24): Billing information is now correct / Still cannot remove inactive devices

It looks like Total made some updates to resolve the billing display issues on the website during last night's maintenance period.

The good:

My billing information is now displayed correctly (previously the website showed the next bill as being due in the past.

Also of note is that the per line billing breakdown is back.

When I first signed up for Total all my lines showed their individual cost + discount if applicable. This made it easy to see if the correct discounts were being applied. After the first website revamp this per line breakdown disappeared. It now appears to be back.

The bad:

It is still impossible to remove inactive devices from your account. This functionality remains broken. Hopefully it'll be resolved in a future update.
