Confusion on the life of Bam and others / rules of the verse

Hi this is my first post ever on Reddit but I came here because I don’t think I’ve ever been more confused in my life lol. I have some questions about the show. Im almost finished with s2 on episode 24 and im getting so frustrated with the amount of people and plot lines being introduced still. First of all i really don’t understand what Bam is, is he made in the workshop or was he born in a whole other world? I mean im assuming he’s from another world because that’s what its been from the start, but with Beta going on a rampage and wanting revenge on Bam for “taking away” his freedom, as well as FUG talking about how he was created as a weapon it’s getting confusing. Secondly who is actually the strongest person in the tower is it Bam is it someone else.. Ive just heard like 3 people be called the strongest regular and i don’t know. 🥲 THIRD, why has FUG been so successful?? If all they want to do is kill Zahad why are so many higher ups helping them like why has nobody stopped them? And also if there is another irregular in the tower who apparently is the strongest and can take on the 10 families alone, why didn’t FUG recruit him? Is it because he would’ve had to agree and they just blackmailed Bam? Speaking of irregulars where the hell is Rachel at bro? If she is with FUG now then does she know that Bam is alive? And I don’t even mind getting spoiled but can someone please tell me if Bam ever finds out that she LIED and was completely fine the whole time and if he beats her ahh. Please. Okay last thing. What is Emily? Why has this been so important? Is she a real person or genuinely a computer and why is everyone so obsessed with her? I remember a scene of a woman screaming saying something like you will never be human and i thought maybe that was Emily but i just read somewhere that shes a tube of liquid??? If all these plot holes arent resolved within the next 2 episodes im going to be majorly bothered !! But it’s so interesting i cant stop watching LOL 😭 Thank you guys for help in advance if anyone answers!

My controversial, far-fetched theory about the Tower of God

This theory is probably easy to disprove, but I wanted to talk about it. Nature God and Machine God. It's not about nature and machines, but what they represent. Nature exists on its own and surrounds people. Machines are created by people.
If the tower is a reference to the Tower of Babel, then the situation could be reversed. God punished people for their arrogance when they built the tower. If God created the tower, then it is a punishment for people creating another god.

TUS could be a story about the creation of a god, then TOG is the aftermath of those events. Oedipus speaks not only of the creation, but also of the return of a god. When they created a god, they did so based on a previous god who had left or was simply inactive.

It's not my theory, but if Darkness and Light in the spin-off is a reference to the Big Bang Theory, and as I understand it, the scale in TUS is cosmic, but the events of the tower take place on Earth (possibly). The axis is a star, and from Earth, what surpasses the stars is the sun. Stars are not visible during the day, but they are there. (One of the reasons I think the other god is the moon is because Oedipus says that God gave them this power, gave them the stars.) In this case, on the top floor of the tower, the God created by people is the sun (in fact, the sun is a star, so Rachel's efforts are not in vain, right?).

Completing the tower from the very beginning is hopeless, because having reached the top floor, you will simply end up like Icarus. This might work with the theory (not mine) about the inverted tower, since during sunset the sun goes under water.

This is truly tragic.

This is just sad. Bam has no control over his destiny whatsoever he just keeps getting used over and over again. I really wouldn't mind him destroying V and Arlene if he gets the chance what type of parents are they to put him through this. I really hope bam ends up devouring V and takes his powers cos this is just bullying at this point and also smack that redhead witch hwa ryun for leading him into v taking control of his body. Bam just kill all the great family leads and fug then unseal princess enne since she's most likely the heroine which siu said will appear later on in the story then marry her and ride off into the sunset forget all the waste of space👍.

With everything that we have learned in the spin off do you think that the top 6 is accurate ?

Back in day people used to say that only the top 6 was accurate and then the like of Adori and Enne ranking being innacurate because they shouldn't be above the family head but now with the reveal of Urek origin as well as the presence of other shining one in the tower what do you think about the top 6 and if you would make some change what would it be ?

How to get back on track with the story

About a year ago I reached chapter 260 (sort of in the middle of Dallar Show) but I had to take a break. Unfortunately, whenever I take a break from reading something, there's a thin line between getting back to it eventually and dropping it for good. Tbh I never stopped thinking about coming back but as time passed I started to forget things and in a story with so many characters, details and events to keep track of, starting reading from where I left off woulndn't be a good idea. I don't have the time to restart all over again, otherwise I would definetely do that, so I think I should pick it up from "Hoaqin" right after Revolution Road since I remember that being kind of a turning point. Still, I want to make sure that I'm not forgetting anything so I'm asking you if there's anyone so kind to sum up all the important things that happen in the first 250 chapters or direct me to some link/video that might help me get back on track as if I never stopped reading.

Delete the Urek sidestory

ToG used to be peak but has went downhill recently. My hypothesis is that Siu has been contaminated by the popularity of crap such as solo leveling (OP character goes vroom) and to a certain extent OP character meta like Satoru Gojo. It all began, I think, from one punch man. In the past, all characters had to do the grind to reach a certain level. Now, Siu is undoing all his good work with this crap sidestory. Thoughts?

Interesting, Fun or forgotten Details in the Story

We all know that Tower of God has great Details, some things are hidden in plain sight and some arent even meant to be hidden and are just overlooked.

One of the most prominent Details of course being Wangnans Red Horn appendages on his neck. Not really hidden, but still a detail newer readers often overlook.

The next one is with Wangnans look alike, everybodys favorite genocidal infant killer, Big Z. He has two different colored pupils

For a few other things
- Bero Bero has a tail
- When AA and Team SnS find Dan, FUG is written on the wall in his blood (definitely was Michaels doing)
- There is no Panel of Endorsi ever telling Baam about the Date in Season 1
- The Fangs of the Wild Beast look like the Teeth of Leviathan (possibly indicating that the transformation ability as well as the resistance to Domination is linked to Leviathan)

Or one of the bigger questions
- Why is Baam properly clothed at the beginning of the Story. In every flashback he is raggedy and shaggy but suddenly at the beginning he is well groomed and armed

What are some other fun and interesting details often overlooked

Every time I read ToG, I realize the real driving force of the Tower isn’t Shinsu… it’s unhinged relationship (because of a woman) and that drama 😭💀

Before anything, I want to be clear: I genuinely believe every woman is beautiful in her own right, and people (especially females) should always respect how others feel and express emotions. This isn’t hate or anything like that at all 🙏

But I’ve deadass come to this conclusion:

Whenever a man in the Tower is involved in a situation with a woman mainly it’s love, rejection, obsession, loyalty, betrayal, or even just attention they completely lose their minds. They genuinely cannot handle rejection, separation, or emotional loss, and it ends up spiralling into massive consequences for the world itself.

Look at the history of the Tower:

Jahad, V, and Arlene Grace had a situation that literally changed the entire Tower forever. Jahad’s inability to accept the situation led to a conflict that reshaped the entire world structure.

Twenty-Fifth Bam started climbing the Tower entirely because of his attachment to Rachel.

Rachel has caused emotional chaos and destruction across multiple arcs just by being involved in key events 😭

Even someone like Urek Mazino (his story that is ongoing) despite being absurdly powerful still has getting into relationship games issues in the current chapters now of his storyline tied to emotional tension, relationships, and personal attachments.

Even the strongest figures in the Tower end up making irrational decisions, starting conflicts, or ruining relationships because of attachment, jealousy, or rejection.

And in the latest arcs, even the Family Heads show this pattern more clearly:

Traumerei has deep psychological and emotional issues tied to attachment, control, and past emotional scars that shape his entire behaviour.

Gustang is constantly involved in long-running emotional conflicts and historical grudges tied to relationships and family dynamics.

And honestly,I can already predict the unrevealed

Family Heads are going to continue this trend:

The Ha and Ari Family Heads already feel like they have deep-rooted tension and complicated history that will likely tie back into personal relationships once fully revealed I be deadass 😭😭

The Yeon Family especially feels like it will heavily involve emotional history and past relationship-driven events when more of the lore is revealed of the man who brole her heart.

At this point, it feels like no matter how strong a character is, once emotions tied to relationships enter the equation, logic starts slipping and everything becomes personal 💀

Because in this story it always comes back to:

Attachment

Jealousy

Rejection (expecially when woman are into it)

Pride get hit

Obsession

Betrayal

It’s like emotional instability is one of the real hidden forces of the Tower 😭 Regular people listen to sad music after a breakup but in the Tower, immortal Rankers and Irregulars start wars over it.

I’m convinced that once more Family Heads are fully explored by siu, we’re going to see even more ancient relationship drama, betrayals, and emotional breakdowns shaping the entire world.

Again, just to be clear: this is not aimed at women or female readers at all 🙏 It’s just an observation about how male characters in Tower of God tend to lose their grip on reality the moment emotional or relationship stakes get involved 😭

Siu ≠ Siu

what really went down, did siu lose his spark, i am not one to just hate or over-criticize and i am not even talking about the art quality here, i am talking about the uniqueness and the absolute genius in the designs that made this world so distinct and hype, because even at the start the art was honestly kind of mid but the designs that carried the work were exceptional and pure genius, right now the art has actually improved but it feels like siu handed the reins to his assistants sadly

to be fair to him though the drop only really started around chapter 68 in season 3 when he was dealing with health issues and problems with his hand

though the character writing hit its peak recently like white, traumerei and yasratcha, what I'm saying is i genuinely miss siu's touch whether in character design or the world itself

Why does tower of godfeel like it has so much potential, yet so few of its important characters reach the level of depth, consistency, and complexity that a character like subaru has?

Tower of God might genuinely have one of the most wasted casts in modern animanganovel. This is a story with nearly everything needed for legendary character writing, a morally corrupted world, a brutal hierarchy, endless tragedy, human greed, betrayal, obsession, loneliness, immortality, fate, and people destroying themselves just to climb higher. Nobody in the tower is truly innocent. Even the “good” characters are stained by violence and selfishness. The setting constantly pushes people into situations that should psychologically break them. And yet somehow after 700+ chapters and one of the largest casts in the medium, I struggle to name even a top 20 cast of characters that feel as deeply explored, emotionally consistent, or psychologically compelling as subaru. That's the frustrating part about Tower of God. The potential is absurd. The characterization concepts are there. Some characters have foundations you genuinely cannot find in most stories. But author rarely commits to fully exploring them. Characters are introduced with insane thematic potential, only to get sidelined, simplified, or trapped in repetitive story cycles before they can truly evolve. The tower itself feels more complex than the people inside it. For a story built around human desire and corruption, surprisingly few characters feel fully dissected as human beings. The worldbuilding evolves constantly but the emotional and psychological exploration often feels incomplete. That’s why Tower of God feels so unique yet strangely unsatisfying at times. It has all the ingredients for an all time cast but rarely reaches the emotional depth its own universe should naturally produce. This is even more obvious in the spinoff, which brings back a vibe closer to early tower of god despite having a completely different setup, that is with a protagonist who is totally different and polar opposite of the baam in every way. And still the author does not really dig into it the way he could. For some reason he always seems to struggle to fully commit to exploring these ideas in depth. If he had actually spent more time developing these characters properly, including one off characters, the main protagonist, and even the villains, the story could have been genuinely incredible. But instead, here we are, still waiting for Tower of God to fully become the kind of story its atmosphere, themes, and world seem to promise. tower of god two strength and biggest one is charaacters and world building, world building do get love time to time, characters however dont

Do you think it was a missed opportunity that Tramurai and Luslec didn't have a conversation?

In the flashback Tramurai captured Luslec, but we never got to see what happened.

Knowing how fucked up Tramurai is, I wouldn't be surprised,if he was responsible for Luslec's face. The amount of weird torture Tramurai must have put him through must have been insane.

And the fact that we never saw them have interaction in current time, was a big disappointment for me.

What do you think?

I don't like people saying spin off isn't tower of god

because that's the dumbest thing I've heard as if it's not straight up called tower of god urek mazino or side story of tower of god

like they think it's fan fiction or something. When it's just all about tower of god itself, whether you learn from a flashback, pov change in main story or you read from spin off nothing changes. Urek Mazino spin off one of the two purpose aside from telling urek story/backstory/lore/purpose/flaws/development/relationship/themes/presence is >>>world building<<< for tower for tower of god. things that can't be told in S4 cuz the time has passed a lot and it would take multiple chapters of flashback or pov change or mc change to tell all that so we get it from spin off which is doing more than one thing, and not just "urek solo leveling" which is a very naive ignorant statement to say about it and ignoring all the efforts siu putting on it and his real intentions for readers to take from the spin off. Spin off as it is now, is doing or will do arguably more world building than entire s2 and s3 of tog because that's what it looks like , and thing siu trying to achieve. As he cannot show , do things, neccasary arcs all of it in baam story anymore. the time has passed there is literally no way. So, you're going to get all of it in spin off.

Place your bets

How do you think this fight is going to go down? Do you think Urek can take on all 3 at once? Or you think Edahn or another FL show up to help him? Ari Han maybe?
