1991 2L Diesel rectifier location?

So, I've got a 1991 2.4D, dead 200 miles away because the alternator housing oil bolt is stripped and it vomits oil profusely. Stripped alternator is some no-name aftermarket thing, but I have two "dead" original Toyota brand ones to work with, and taking them apart I'm noticing there doesn't seem to be a rectifier or a regulator in these things. Documents are scarce, and the car being very far away I can't just go check. Are the rectifier/regulator located somewhere external to the alternator itself, or does it somehow just not have these things?

New Hilux Owner!

Hey everyone,

I just bought this 1kz, for $11,000 (AUD), with 360,000kms on it.

Engine bay is pretty immaculaute with some of the recent work on the car including:

Brand new injectors, new glow plugs, fuel pump replaced, new fuel filter, new engine mounts, new radiator, new starter motor, new idler filter, timing belt tensioner.

I didn't find any leaks or major red flags. Just an older flimsy tray, and surface rust on the door was probably the biggest problem.

Drives really, shifts really well, brakes are good, 4x4 works. I'm excited to get this on the road and on some touring trips.

I was wondering what bits of advice would you provide, in regards to looking after it, maintaining it, mods to consider, just general feedback!

I'm pretty keen to have this car the next 5 years, Im keen to put a new tray on with a canvas canopy to go with it, and a 12-volt system to start with.

Have a nice day!
