Do you still have Toys R Us stickers on any of your old videogames?

I remember the videogame wall at Toys R Us back in the 80s and 90s where you looked at photos of the front and back of the case and then had to take a paper note from a pouch to purchase the game.

It was similar in the year 2000 when I worked in the Teentronics section, although by then there were also some cases and boxes with security tags that you could add to your basket or trolley, rather than taking the paper to the till and then waiting to collect the actual game at another desk after you'd paid for it.

WTRU in store music

I worked for Toys R Us in the early 1990s (1992-94) and I specifically remember listening to a repeating soundtrack of music. It was called “WTRU” (Toys R Us Radio) I think and featured the song from the commercial as well as other kid’s songs. One song included lyrics about “living in a telephone booth and that’s the truth”. Anyone else work there in the late 80s/early 90s and remember this soundtrack? Remember any of the other songs?

ToysRUs in Las Vegas?

Went to get food and I saw this next to the restaurant, back then there used to be a Toys R Us here but it’s been changed a lot throughout the years and even been a Halloween city. I’m not sure if they’re demolishing unearthed an old Logo but when I saw it I saw my memories, so I hope it’s coming back but I’m not sure

Toys R Us at Festival Park in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, UK

This was the Toys R Us store at Festival Park in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England in August 2020.

At that time it was in the process of becoming a new Go Outdoors shop.

I just got back into buying Transformers and I forgot I had some of these gems in my attic. The Devastator and Jetfire are some of my favorites to go along with my somewhat growing Optimus collection.
