Putting a max 5 g2 56118sd in my XRT and already have a perfect pass monster servo installed.

Will my max 5 g2 run the servo at that voltage reliably or is that pushing its limits?

Am I crazy to want to run it at 8.4v?

If so I’ll forget about this.

If not what is my best and budget options to replace the 6v stock Traxxas receiver and transmitter?

I can spend up to $3-500 but would prefer not too.

Anything listed good?

Never done a build like this or any kind of upgrades really but I learned to solder last night so adding this should be simple.

I have a few more pics but just 2 trucks, ones fully built and brushless, the other has some injora stuff and I have a bunch of tools, parts and accessories also included. I'm located in Northwest Indiana if anyone is somewhat local and wants to pickup and buy it or else I could see how much shipping would be. Just never use them anymore so they're just sitting.

Getting frustrated so I am finally asking for help lol

I am trying to find an aluminum servo horn for Slash 4 x 4 BL – 2S.

My issue is the ones I have bought are either too long or caused the linkage to be higher up than the skid plate.

The metal horn from Traxxas is a very close fit, but again it doesn’t go as low as the stock plastic horn. The stock plastic horn has a little dog leg where it lowers down to bring everything where it needs to be. It’s also a little bit longer so it doesn’t have the clearance it needs.

I’ve seen recommendations for the hot racing horn that’s blue but I read in the reviews someone tried it on the BL2S model and it had the same issue.

So what aluminum horn are people using on the 4 x 4 BL2S?

Heyo, hope y'all are doing well. I have been snagging up some used minis and this has been giving me problems. On 2 of my bl2s units there's a horrible cogging that happens almost every time I smack the throttle on them. Honestly figured it was maybe some differential issues but the one unit has upgraded front/rear diffs and a center diff out of a mini xrt. I'll post a video of one of them but they both do the same. One is on stocks and the other on rustler wheels but no difference. Also got a new motor from Jenny's with no noticable change either. On a side note has anyone has issues with hobbywing 10bl120 setups over time? I ask this because I snagged the one out of my rustler 4x4 to put in the mini (for testing this cogging issue) and when hitting reverse it recognizes the input in the esc but only works after it's pegged at 100 percent for a second or 2. Thanks for any and all help.

My fan setup on the Mini Maxx. Just installed the motor fan today. It popped off while tumbling. So I zip tied the Fan/Heatsink to the motor haha. Anyone get overexcited to try your new mods after installing? Sometimes it's all I can think about. I'm usually just to tired after work to enjoy it anyways haha.

I do have a question. When plugging the fan into the receiver box, does polarity switch rotating plug. Would blowing towards motor or away be better? Thanks!

Getting axles replaced, bearing replaced/cleaned with diff maintenance this weekend. I always found maintenance therapeutic.

trying to sell this, not sure whats a fair price? I bought it like 10 years ago at this point and forgot for how much but similar models still seem really expensive on ebay? I have everything but the charger

I have a rustler that I’ve been using a lipo 2 cell 5800mah 25c 7.4v - pic of the car below. I just got a traxxas stadium truck looks to be same speed control can I run this same lipo?

Found my stampede 4x4 project I had in my early-late teens before I did/could get into cars (originally a 2wd brushed stampede but converted via a friends old brushless slash 4x4). Threw a 1/8 mamba monster 2 in at some point. Only ever ran on 3s lipo although could max out at 6s, but even on 3 it did standing backflips, wheelied entire blocks, and snapped axles with ease if used carelessly (I remember doing that a lot lol).

Finding it really makes me want to get it back out and driving. Just need to pick up a new battery for it. Figured I would share.

I bought this for my son‘s birthday two days ago. We took it out and ran it really hard today. After running in some dirt and some rocks and some big jumps I’m hearing this. I figured I was going to have to learn to work on this thing. But I need some help figuring out what this issue is. Any advice?
