Tree pealed the paint off this sign
I’ve seen trees grow over signs before. But never seen it carefully peel the paint off the sign and attach to the tree bark instead.
A rare and fascinating discovery from Indian forests is taking the internet by storm. The incredible Terminalia tomentosa tree has the natural ability to store fresh rainwater inside its trunk and branches, acting like a living water reservoir.
Would this work? Basically a platform with rails…Any books I should read or good how-to videos? Thank you for the help!
Irony
Given the general dislike of Bradford Pear variants in various tree groups, I thought people might get a kick out of the irony that the people we bought our house from 1: planted a bradford pear, 2: left the tag on so long it got sucked, and 3: added a rope for good measure (little black spot at the bottom of the picture).
Here’s a thing that shouldn’t be a thing
It’s an active meter. You would think the gas company could have seen this one coming 🤔
Update: The utility company finally took this one seriously and are working to relocate the meter.
Sign Disappearing Into Tree
The yellow sign still shows vestiges of "PRIVATE PROPERTY" written on it. I'll bet that in a few years the black replacement sign will also start getting engulfed.
Tree chewing on a railing, sadly at the ultimate cost of the tree
Another railing was installed just in front (you can see the edge of it at the bottom).
