Is my tank doomed?can it be repaired?the glass in the middle of my tank has separated at one side,I don’t know what to do with it

I have this fish from pets at home in the temperate section. I want to get it a bigger tank and some friends. Need to know the type of fish?
Is it male or female?
It has a kind of pale orange body and a bright orange fan tail. It’s very friendly and curious.
