Sen. McConnell (84)'s condition remains unclear two weeks after hospitalization. Leaked DC Fire & EMS audio captures the June 14th emergency call.

A spokesperson for McConnell's office told WLKY Sunday night that there are "no updates at this time" regarding the senator's condition.

The office reiterated its same message from last week, saying, "Senator McConnell is still working closely with staff on Senate business and Kentucky matters as he continues his recovery."

People are starting to speculate that he’s on life support / in a coma to avoid shifting the balance of the Senate.

Richmond Ky flooding victim

I’m asking for help because I’m facing an emergency that I never imagined I’d be in.
The recent flooding knocked out my internet. I work from home, and without internet I haven’t been able to work or earn any income.
Right now I’m trying to keep a roof over my head. My rent is due, my water is scheduled to be shut off, my electric service is facing disconnection, and I have no food in the house.
I’m not looking for a handout. I’m asking for help getting through an unexpected crisis until I can get back to work. If it makes anyone more comfortable, I’m happy to provide proof of my utility bills or account information so payments can be made directly to the utility companies. Grocery gift cards or food assistance would also be an incredible blessing.
If you’re able to help in any way, whether through a donation, paying directly toward a bill, sending groceries, or simply sharing this post, I would be deeply grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any kindness you can offer

Kentucky flag tricolor.

Hello. Here is a redesign I did of the flag of Kentucky. For this I didn’t want to include any horses as usually included. I wanted to take the states three main Colors on the current flag, which are considered the states official colors. The gold represents prosperity and the agricultural industry in Kentucky, which includes our horse and bourbon industry. The blue represents the blue grass but also the the many rivers and creeks that have shaped Kentucky’s history and geograph. The white represents peace and unity seeing that the culture here is a mixture of many different cultures from around us, and we have to come together to form the state. I also wanted it to have three stripes to represent both the three rivers that border Kentucky. But also the idea of Kentucky being both a state with Southern, Northern and Western influences. The tricolor is intentionally simple to reflect the rules of Vexillology, but also from the French Revolution‘s style since Kentucky has some French ties, but I made the stripes horizontal in honor of America’s flag. Please give me any advice to develop the flag further if needed, I’d love to find a way to replace the cuTrent flag to make a much more beautiful flag.

Mammoth Cave and things to do near there.

My wife and my two younger kids are thinking about spending a couple days at Mammoth cave and the surround area in the near future. It's like 4 hours from us, and we love the great outdoors and most of my family doesn't hate a decent hike.

So if we were to stay at the little cabins at Mammoth Cave, is there enough to fill 2 days?

If you have any intel on the little mammoth cave cabins let me know, showers, bathrooms, comfort safety etc. And if your recommend any close-ish hotels or lodging instead.

Everything needs to be on the kid friendly side:

-Which Cave tour(s) do you recommends?
-Hiking trails that aren't awful awful, that lead to a view?

-Other tours of any kind? History, science, nature exhibits?

-Other local activities within a half hour drive that are awesome? Museums of any kind? I saw the little zoo.

-LOCAL FOOD??!! We're southern and love BBQ, Burgers, I love catfish, etc. And love trying the local flare wherever we go. And I'm not some yuppster either, I grew up on gas station biscuits and put peanuts in my coke. I'm a threat to whittle if you don't watch me too. So let me have it. Hole in the walls are welcome.

If you know any good CATFISH places (restaurants) even inside of an hour away, I'd like those too!

Basically looking to hit 2-3 highlighted places a day, just to say we've experienced the area.

Exhibits removed from Kentucky national parks must be restored, federal judge orders

Just saw this and am glad. I've been to the Kentucky parks mentioned numerous times and can't remember anything that was upsetting.
