The KY District 4 Republican primary was the most expensive race, per vote, of ANY election in US history, despite Gallrein having only 70 donors.

Ed Gallrein reported just 70 unique Kentucky donors to Massie's 1,545 donors

33 million dollars was spent on 105,000 total votes, coming out to around $315 spent per vote.

Going back and looking at the costs of previous races with high costs...

2022 California 22nd general election ~$300/vote

2024 Tester v Shehee general election ~$250/vote

2020 Collins v Gideon general election ~$175/vote

Every other race was chamber-deciding general elections. This was a primary in a non-competitive district. Bought and paid for by a few billionaire donors that flooded boomer mailboxes with fake AI slop and they bought in wholesale. Massie won every demographic outside of seniors.

The insanity of this race cannot be overstated.

Thoughts on Kentucky's GOP Congressional Primary between Thomas Massie and Ed Gallrein?

Shaping up to be quite a SUPRISINGLY contentious race.

Republican establishment in Kentucky has been angry at Massie for a long time and President Trump endorsed Gallrein, while some muckrackers have alleged that Hegseth [ EDIT: This was a reading from a misleading MSN article] various Dems , various Libertarians , and some Republicans are coming out last minute for Massie.

What are you seeing and what fo you predict regarding tonight's outcome and it's effects on all parties ( pun unintended) involved (voters, nationally, etc)?

Yet Another Reason Why Comer Become Governor

Comer, if elected governor, will remove all appointees to Boards of Regents / Board of Chancelllors who are not Trump Republicans and replace with his own people. These new appointees will then remove any non-compliant university presidents.

This from a state representative. He was very bold in his assertion this will happen, as universities "have had it very easy for too long. People are tired of their liberal teaching and we need to make these universities turn a profit." He went on to say, "... if you don't like things, now, wait until we elect Comer as governor and he replaces all these board people and we get rid of <insert names of specific presidents>".

I found his comment wild but at the same time not exactly surprised. We have seen this happen in Florida under DeSantis, in Oklahoma, in Wisconsin, in Tennessee, in Louisiana, and in Texas.

Republicans absolutely abhor higher education, critical thinking. They rail against 'indoctrination' yet are absolutely setting the stage for indoctrination.

Also, as a side note, I noticed Fox Entertainment has a new series on Netflix pertaining to presidents and presidential history. Wonder if anyone has seen it.

Put a stop to unopposed general elections in Kentucky

I'm in the 5th district. This morning the only election on my ballot was Senate. I don't get to vote for County Clerk, Jailor, Commissioner or half a dozen other offices because I won't support the Pedophile Protection Party.

If the Democrats won't field a candidate for an office, then the Republicans should be allowed to send the top TWO vote getters into the general election. This way the Anti-Trump Republican, which usually finishes second, will be on the ballot for me to back in November, along with all the other independents who don't want anything to do with the Guardians of Pedophilia or the Democrats.

Hopefully discussions of Kentucky politics are allowed here.

Martial Arts

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for beginner friendly places for martial arts that have availability on Tuesday’s and Sundays. I would also prefer them to have Boxing and Wrestling specifically but might be okay with going to two separate locations to get my fix. I need things broken down to me Barney style with any new thing I do in the beginning so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Preferably spending under $250 a month if it can be helped.
