Should the Kane siblings be in the next twisted metal game?
I recently just replayed through twisted metal 2012 after so long and after that epilogue I was thinking having the Kane siblings would be epic. Charlie can be the sweet tooth of that game and Sophie can be probably the minion of the game Or contestant.
So do you guys think they should return?
Getting into this franchise. Any lore I need to know? Also, what collectibles would it be worth picking up unfortunately on the aftermarket? Is there any games that regardless if im told are bad I'd buy it anyways?
First off, I really loved the TV series. At least the first season. The second season I just started and I remembered a few days ago dad was talking to me one time about how he wished he could play armored core, twisted metal, tomb raider on a modern system but the old games and I said technically they exist or were starting to exist and I'm not sure what he said about that.
All I know is I remembered this series existed so since I love the show (please don't be mad at me for liking the show idk how mean this subreddit is) I was after getting a job after simultaneously turning 19 next month June 9th gonna get all the games. I go to Amazon put them in the cart despite each game saying "1 or 2 in stock! Order soon!" Or something like that. Then go to eBay and see they cost way less.
Then I checked merch this series has because SURELY they got more things because of the show?! I found T shirts, metal wall art, a machete, a license plate, Sweet Tooth(s?) mask, PlayStation 30th Anniversary albums??? Ice cream employee (I Skream You Skream) some book on Kindle called Back To Black?!?! The games, thats about it. Kinda sad that this franchise is revived wnd there's barely anything to shoe for it. Buy I'd buy a PS1, PS2, and PS3 for this franchise alone, and I got greater a reason:
Since my brother kept on breaking controllers and deleting my games on the family PS5 to kick me off saying it isnt fair I'm almost 19 and did this when I was 18 and 17 too when I first got the ps5 for Christmas saying I am almost an adult, I am an adult, so why don't I get my own console, but oh wait the ps5 is like $900 now so good luck playing your games now. Because I'm not letting you use it.
Remembering this underrated game series, I'm like in my head ("who said anything about a fucking ps5???) So I was gonna get a ps1 2 3 one day, ps3 because that was my first PlayStation, and while I had a Wii, N64, PS3, Xbox 360, I think a GBA, I rarely played games due to my sister's growing up. I shouldn't have taken the PS5 for granted because now I physically can't use it and dad ordered Resident Evil 2 3 remakes (already came a few weeks ago) and 7 and 9 are supposedly in shipment so it kinda sucks that I gotta get my own system and I don't wanna fork over $900 when I'm just starting out with my own job.
But luckily a PS3 Fat is like $200 everywhere, and no matter what it's about $200-300 for every game ever. And I know it's on PS4/PS5 digitally but I don't think it's fair to pay respects or whatever to a revived franchise by buying digital copies.
I also looked at other ps1-3 series I'd be interested in and since Resident Evil is automatically on there, it don't count and I remembered Armored Core is a thing. I remember seeing dad had TM Black for ps2 along with some Resident Evil games and Armored Core games but all I found was not the ps2, but a cracked RE Code Veronica and Sims 2. And a DualShock 2.
Across the board on amazon or anywhere else, it's 30-$100 each is the funko pops, for $50 a better mask for Sweet Tooth than I saw at my local fair a few months ago I think. Found RC cars online. And i had a bright 3am idea: what if i 3d printed a Sweet Tooth ice cream truck using the ps1 model I found for free online, right? And that's assuming i can afford a printer, cause like I said: I'm just getting a job.
What if I made it have since the ps1 version has no back doors, what if I cut the roof off, made it like a lid, and on the inside is hollowed out, decorated to look like the inside, have a mini Sweet Tooth in there, and it's big enough to house all the PS1 games? Like a game storage thingy because he is the face of the franchise, almost quite literally and he's on the damn cover front and center for a vast majority of the games except 2 with Axel.
And then I thought what if for some odd reason I buy a ice cream truck and made it into Sweet Tooth's tru--- no I'm kidding. Probably not even legal.
I wouldn't go that far. Or would I?
Just thinking of improvising collectibles in case there reslly isn't much to get for this franchise. At one point I was wanting to play the series a lot to the point I found something similar on roblox and I rarely play it unless my sisters blackmail me 😭 but luckily I can buy my own system, hopefully so I don't have to spend too much money rn a ps3 fat. Unless someone tells me it isn't a good idea despite my wanting to mod it to last longer because I think, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the ps3 fat isn't built to last but I never did mods before so I'm probably gonna screw it up. Let alone fix it because I never took apart a console or electronic of any kind.
Komi Music Video Style edit
Been wanting to make this edit for a while, I feel like Evan Fong's music fits the vibe of Komi and the show.

1:64 Twisted Metal
I recently started collecting 1:64 diecast cars, and some of the castings instantly reminded me of one of my childhood favorite game, Twisted Metal. That got me thinking — what if I created my own custom replicas inspired by the characters from the game?
So far, I’ve made two versions of Sweet Tooth using the Hot Wheels Quick Bite casting as the base. I sculpted the signature flaming clown head with air-dry clay, then kitbashed different materials like 3D-printed parts, toothpicks, and popsicle sticks to build the armor and details.
It’s been a fun mix of nostalgia, creativity, and DIY customization, and honestly, seeing these tiny builds come together has made me appreciate diecast customizing even more.
The Toys, They're Alive
Took this picture during the House of Kane. Looks like the toy soldiers from Playground Peril are out for revenge for being used as lob bombs.
pov you work at Calypso industries what would the expense report be like?
Custom Hammerhead Model
Work in progress Hammerhead truck model with the Mike and Stu drivers. This is for my Carmageddon TDR2000 mod pack.

Could Stu have an unknown child?
After all the women he slept with at the insider orgy, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a child out there that he finds out about in season 3.

John and Quiet are annoying in season 2 (S2E5)
Can we talk about how they are basically the reason Dollface is dead? First, they get distracted by "fucking" so they don't get any weapons for the tournament, even tho that was their ONLY task to do. Then they decide to save some ungrateful stubborn teenager and while protecting her and them, she gets killed. It is ultimately all their fault for a 1 minute sex that they could've done later....
Hello, I’m new here.
I just wanted to say that I’m really glad to be here because I finally found a group of people who are genuinely interested in Twisted Metal.
I’ve always wanted to play the games ever since I got introduced to Twisted Metal, but I never really had the chance because I couldn’t afford a PS3 or any PlayStation console growing up (except for the PSP). On top of that, my parents were really strict, so they definitely wouldn’t let me play violent video games like Twisted Metal. Because of that, I mostly just watched clips and lore videos on YouTube to understand the characters, stories, and themes that gave me this weird morbid curiosity about the franchise.
Now that I’m older, hearing that there was going to be a Twisted Metal adaptation made me both excited and nervous. I honestly thought it wouldn’t capture the darker and more mature tone of games like Twisted Metal: Black and the 2012 reboot, but I’m glad the show proved me wrong. The series ended up being genuinely fun and enjoyable, and I finally finished Season 2.
So now here I am writing this after finishing it. I really want to revisit the franchise properly and finally dive into the games myself. What always fascinated me about Twisted Metal especially Black and 2012 was the atmosphere, themes, and stories behind the characters. For some reason, it also reminds me a lot of Death Race and Gamer.
Since most of you guys are way more experienced with the franchise than I am, where do you think a newcomer like me should start? Which Twisted Metal game would you personally recommend first?
Sweet tooth tattoo.
Anyone else have twisted metal inspired ink?
