Wildly disagree with Lauren’s take on the AI story presented in today’s episode. Using AI to write your vows is 100% a valid reason to walk out of a wedding, full stop. It’s not weird, it’s not confusing, you don’t need more context, the bride that walked out was valid and correct. Just because people use AI doesn’t make it okay, that’s literally a logical fallacy.
This is an uninformative and low-quality post, purely a rant lol. I don’t know much about her field but the words and math she so often stumbles over are so pathetically basic that I can’t wrap my mind around how she graduated.
I feel like some of her (and her guests’) bad takes are due to poor reading comprehension, i.e. missing or misunderstanding important parts of the story entirely. When I used to listen to the show, I would get frustrated on behalf of the many elephants in the studio. Also, when she feels strongly about something, she inserts “fucking” at an excessive rate, instead of coming up with words that… carry actual meaning. I’m not put off by swearing in itself, but at some point it just becomes pure filler words that further dilute their already-vapid content.
Can’t imagine her defending a thesis. “This fucking gap in the literature is fucking understudied, and my fucking contributions are fucking novel.”
She brings it up a LOT too. I actually enjoyed hearing about her specific experiences working as an OT (it's obviously a very important job and often relevant to the stories), but saying she has a degree, sometimes multiple times in an episode, just doesn’t add to the discussion.

Unrelated but I might as well add: Not every devil needs an advocate.
(As you might guess, I’m doing mine and it’s whipping my ass, hence the rant. Am I snarking on other people purely because I’m dissatisfied with myself? Well yeah.)
I’ve been listening for over a month. I started from the first episode because when I start a new podcast that shows how I like to do things.
In the beginning, I really liked it - I spend a lot of my time on Reddit, and I found the podcast by trying to find a podcast that reads stories from Reddit.
But, Morgan started to really annoy me, and so I decided to see if anybody else felt the same way – turns out a lot of people do!
And I partly blame myself for reading on this sub because after I did, I started really noticing all the things that annoy me about her, and noticing things other people pointed out, like the fact that she is super privileged and makes childbirth sound like the worst thing that could ever happen to you.
I tried to put it aside because I don’t really know of any other podcasts that do this and I do enjoy the story aspect of it (if you guys have any recommendations, I will definitely take them, I’m a DoorDash driver, so I spent a lot of time in my car and podcasts are how I pass the time)
Then I got to her episode with stiff socks, and they repeatedly called her out on how much money she clearly grew up with and how privledhed she is and it’s so funny to try to hear her act like she’s super open and has these more real people on the pod with her. This episode has made me just not want to listen anymore because she’s mainly only had other female/female presenting cohosts besides her family and Justin and I think her pick me side is coming out a little bit more. It has just annoyed me to the point where I don’t know if I can listen again. 😭
Is Morgan uneducated, ignorant, or just stupid?
She can’t pronounce basic words. Her vocabulary is pathetic. She can’t complete basic sayings that have been passed down in the English language for hundreds of years.
I really think she’s a moron with a great podcast voice
I listen to this podcast every week. But when I know that Lauren‘s gonna be on it, I skip it. Because they get into a cycle where they’re just going yes yes yes at each other and recently Lauren has been her cohost for why I cannot fathom does anyone else think this?
I just know all of you Morgan haters were jumping for joy when Ashby corrected all of her shitty pronunciations of words 🤣. I know I was smiling to myself a lot this weeks episode.
