I couldn’t do it

I hadn’t watched TAAHM since my teen years and never made it to the Walden seasons. I decided to watch the show in its entirety recently. The Charlie seasons were quick and painless. To be completely honest, I thought the first Walden seasons was solid and I didn’t really have any issue watching it, not as good as the OG but not as bad.

However, when it got to that episode where Lindsey pukes on everything, it really went downhill for me. That episode was so stupid and vile in a completely unfunny way, it was just gross. I still kept watching however, next season wasn’t phenomenal, but once we got to Jeff Strongman I did enjoy that bit.

Eventually I have arrived at the last season and I’m 4 episodes in, and I haven’t touched the show in a month. Not intentionally, I just genuinely have no desire to see it through. I want to power through so I can say I’ve watched the whole series, but the plot is so lost at this point I just can’t even make myself do it.

One thing I want to note, I see a lot of complaints about the Walden seasons, one thing I don’t see mentioned a lot is I don’t think Walden himself is the problem but rather the loss of the great side characters. Part of what made the show so great in the Charlie era was the side characters like Herb, Judith, Evelyn, the therapist, Rose, the drug store guy, and Berta.

In the Walden seasons we lose all those side characters outside of Berta. I know Herb, Rose and Evelyn make very sparse appearances, but nothing like in the Charlie seasons. The side characters that replace this cast is utter dogshit. I do believe that if they increased the aforementioned characters roles rather than reduced and replaced them that the show could’ve ended a bit more gracefully.

In conclusion, I don’t think I’m going to finish the show as much as I wanted to just to say I did. It’s honestly just boring at this point.

How much did Archie Baldwin Make?

He is obviously more successful than Charlie. Plus he drives a rolls Royce. What do you think his yearly income is?

Missed Opportunities for Episode Titles

Just Once with Aunt Sophie, where Charlie gives Jake advice for a boy-girl party, should have been titled Battle Cry of the Chronic Masturbator imo. What are some other episodes that had better quotes than the title?
